Prostitute. Dressed like Cortana. Then you do the paint yourself blue option from above. Best of both worlds. If you have some REALLY open hot friends and/or family members you could save on the prostitute. And if you know any painters you could save on the blue paint!

Seriously though, how into these things is he? If he's really into Halo and a reader I'd recommend getting him the Halo books. That's all I can really recommend at the moment, beyond the aforementioned blue orgy. I need more details on your husbands interests before I give a definitive answer.
ummm... no.. orgy is out... is my husband for crying out loud... I'm not that kind of wife, or in that kind of relationship... and family? eww!
Isn't love thinking of his interests before your own?

Besides which, that doesn't tell me anything about his interests. It just tells me your family isn't as close as some.
There is close, then there is having sex with your relatives... with is just plain wrong... and its not in anyone's best interests...

I find your suggestion very offensive and morally skewed.
I never said you'd be sleeping with them...

Okay, all jokes aside, it still goes back to "What does your husband like?" And I am moving on from incest, in case your curious. I don't know if he's a reader, an artist, an athlete, or what capacity a gamer he is. For all I know he could be so into it that recommending one of those force-feedback vests is a good idea.

He's a It technician... definatly not athletic... he likes RTS, and FPS alot... he's not a massive MMORPGer... he mainly plays when i do (Silkroad).

He works really hard so his leisure time is really important... which is mainly xbox games (and the occasional pc one)

i do play games, but more casualy than him, sticking to MMORPGS, Dungeons and Dragons, Sims, Fable, and the occasional game of Magic the Gathering (the actual card game)

My friend has a canvas of Master Chief, something like that? Or perhaps the Halo books. If he's the simple pleasure kind, something as small as a picnic is nice.

Seriously me and my brother had a competition searching for the ultimate geek gift a while ago and I beat him. I don't know if they still sell them, The Yoda Backpack FTW.

I have a nice picture that I am not sure the escapist would smile upon me linking it in the open forums that your husband might like. I can send it to you in a PM though. For general geek gifts, ThinkGeek.com has some good things. Although if you want him to remember it fourevar[footnote]bad grammer is kewl and adds emphasis[/footnote] I would recomend surprising him with a sexy cosplay.

A simple suggestion, for 50-60$ you can get a Mass Effect N7 hoodie, very nice I hear, you can get it on the bioware site.
That is brilliant gift idea. Yoink!
