Just wondered if any people out there think they play better while under the influence of anything?

Personally for me i think i play better with a bit of caffine it seems to speed up my reactions and i feel like i am a step ahead of the competition, but i know people who prefer to play with one or two beers.

Disclaimer: i am not recomending anyone take anything to improve their gaming experience.

I'm best when not under influence of anything. Caffeine just makes me miss buttons, and that's annoying.

Taking drugs to try to be better at anything, is stupid, dangerous, and just plain dumb.

Your body will eventually catch up to you, my young Paduan learner. And when it does, you'll be happy you stayed away from certain substances.

I've noticed sometimes under the influence you may think you are doing better, when in reality you aren't.

And meh, I'm best au-natural.
And I agree... on both counts.

If I drink before gaming, I get twitchy. If I have caffeine (in whatever form) before gaming, I get even twitchier. If I have a spliff before gaming, then all that would go through my mind is WTF... who has a spliff before gaming, and who games after having a spliff? Well, you might, but I don't...

Drinking heavily. I've come in before after a night out and level grinded with no recollection the next day. Just a significantly more badass character than before. Infact, I think I advanced more levels in Fallout 3 drunk than I did sober.

And then you accidentally hit the crouch button instead of throwing a grenade, so your caffeine riddled fingers spazz out in desperation, hitting the 'nade button in panic rather than the get up button. The 'nade hits the wall you just dove behind and you die in a fiery explosion of failure.

Funny times.

Well, taking Ridilin recreationally will exponentially increase your ability to focus so you may be able to notice things that you wouldn't have sober, to my current knowledge that is probably the only easily accessible drug that will increase your ability to play video games.

Amphetamines, along with Methylphenidate (Ritalin) are supposedly the druigs of choice for professional gamers.

I don't do drugs of any kind, and I don't drink, so nothing hear (Caffeine I drink, but never in the excessive amounts required to affect me in such a manner).

EDIT: Well, I smoke tobacco too.
