Me playing as my Assassin and tanking Shiro in the second to last mission Guild Wars Nightfall.
You see that mission is incredible hard but I was using a set of skills that tank against him while my fellow players were doing the side objective. I find it badass seeing how it was sucide to try to even fight him alone in the first place so I glad my build had worked!

A lot of times on Max Payne games. (also Stranglehold)

I tend to see the point of those games to be 'can you replicate the greatest shootout from a movie?' And so whenever you manage one of those moments you just feel so goddamn badass.

I was playing Max Payne 3 yesterday and I managed a moment straight out of Hard Boiled or Face Off. Dived over a table dual firing Berettas and shot two men straight away, twisted and switched to the shotgun mid-leap and caught one more in the face and another with the splatter damage. As he reeled backwards I landed and switched back to the Beretta for a final headshot, rolling up and ducked behind another table just as a guy flanked me so I leaped backwards and riddled him with holes as well.

Best of all, it was on arcade, so I could see how well I'd done, and I took no damage despite them firing at me, and by the end I scored 700 points for the final kill.

It might not be as impressive as some of the above and it loses a lot in the telling, but it made me feel like I'd just reenacted all the best bits from Hard Boiled in one go.

I was playing Halo 3 team slayer. At the start of the game, almost all the people left on my team, so it was just me and this one other guy taking on a full team of dude who were all ridiculously leveled. We went on to win that game 45 to 26. The guys on the other were swearing at us, wondering how a Seargent and Leuitenant beat them.

I've probably had better, but my most recent that comes to mind is one of my first games of Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Playing Dust as a Counter Terrorist. I ran around, was unable to find any Terrorists at all that round, meanwhile the skirmishes were going on... wherever I wasn't.

Came down to just me left on the CT team and 4 left on Terrorist. They planted the bomb.

I was near A, so I checked it. Nope, no one there.
So I quickly ran towards B. Caught two on the road along the way and headshotted them both. Made it to the little area where the bomb is and found the other two camping. One of 'em takes a shot at me with a sniper -- misses. I kill him, run towards the bomb and kill the other.

Earned the achievement: "The Unstoppable Force" at this point, for killing 4 enemies in a single round. Crouched down over the bomb and started to disarm it.

After it was disarmed, I simultaneously earned the achievements, "Rite of First Defusal" for winning a round by disarming a bomb, and "Second to None" for disarming a bomb with less than 1 second remaining.

Was a fun round for me.

Mine's a Counter Strike: Source moment.

I heard gunshots, going left around a corner, there were three Terrorists shooting one of my CT comrades, and a wooden crate, I was armed with a FAMAS assault rifle, and a Deagle, I shot one to death as my comrade died, then reversed back round the corner, waited a moment, second terrorist rushed around the corner to chase me, but I perforated his head, then kept the momentum going by coming round the corner, me and the third x-ray sprayed a few more bullets around, missing, so he ducked behind the crate, I was also low on ammo, but had got into the habit of using my sidearm instead of reloading, so I chased him down, and while he was still slamming a new mag into his AK, I slammed a few .50 calibers into his face.

After many, MANY, MANY attempts, I killed the Ur-dragon (online version) in Dragon's Dogma.

Otherwise, I'm gonna say pulling a tonfa run in NG2 on Master Ninja difficulty.

TF2: I've won so many games finally switching to heavy and pushing through to win CP.
Bad Company 2: I went on this one spree of me and this other medic reviving each other for about 5 minutes straight while we were constantly charged the enemy. I also had this moment of when "I was their terror" as sniper, hiding behind the enemy front in Rush, taking at least 10 guys out in one life.
Pokemon Ruby: I've completed the elite four with only a Blaziken, Walrein, and Dusclops.

Also, just this morning. Hard mode on Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne, first Undead mission. Basically, you're split in defending three choke points, each with a different heros and units to produce. The humans continually spawn waves of people to try and get to the choke points, often without respite between the waves. So you have to destroy where the humans spawn, but they have teleporting level 6+ paladins that can become invincible and wreck your shit, that also come with two knights who heal. And they still are sending waves at your other bases, with guys that are either 1100 life, 45-60 damage, attack speed aura and crit hit, or knights with 1k life, and constant healing waves. Oh, and your basic melee unit for each area only has 330 hp, which gets torn through in about 5 seconds.

It took me an hour and a half, but I got through it--jeez it was difficult. In normal mode, no villagers got past me. In this, 18/20 got passed. It was so tense.

Single handedly killing an entire team on Gears of War 2 and 3 is always fun. If a team is capable of working together, then it should really be impossible for a lone player to do it.

L4D2, playing vs with my brother on the same xbox. We both had three ai allies. The moment his team stepped out the door, one got captured by a smoker, another by a hunter, he got hit by a charged, and I, the boomer, stunlocked Louis at the SAFEHOUSE DOOR with melee after melee. Liek a baws

Resident Evil 1 - As Chris - On Hard Mode - 1 sitting - 4 saves.

I'm not big when it comes to competitiveness in games, trolling folks on Soul Calibur occasionally aside, I've always been in it for the immersion and the design. And Resi isn't exactly the longest or most challenging game, but damn... I destroyed that mansion good, even if it was the fourth time I'd done it.

What is your greatest victory moment in a video game? That moment that made you go "Fuck yeah I'm awesome"

Whether it's beating that boss on the hardest difficulty or doing something that according to the game is just impossible lets hear about it.
I had one recently, but I suddenly can't remember what it was or even in what game... :-D

So from the older ones:
(Exposure)
In the times of UT1, we've been playing it a lot on our house's LAN (apartment building, about 30 flats, all on one LAN so we could have pretty hight-speed internet connection for everyone relatively cheap by having this LAN connected.), and one of the maps we played the most was DM-Deck16. One of my friends fancied (over)using the Redeemer, so I adjusted my strategy to go for it as frequently as possible to deny him the option, then jump down to the corner of the area below (the floor with acid pit), and right-click shoot it. I learned to pretty efficiently fly the rocket around the whole level even for several minutes to find someone (these were usually 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 or 2 on 2 matches) and kill them, so there were plenty of badass moments there.

I also fancied using sniper rifle and got so good with it that I had times when I rarely used anything else, just running through the level and headshotting everyone on the move without scope. Often, I had no other weapon, and I had "auto-switch weapons" turned off just to avoid switching FROM the sniper rifle, when I accidentally picked up something else. This also prevents the game from switching when you run out of ammo.
And then there was this MAX BADASS moment for me:

(The actual moment)
I heard redeemer spawn, and ran for it - jumped down the elevator area, and ran through the acid pool part, when I saw my friend jumping directly next to the pool ahead of me. I knew he'd be there first, and I tried to kill him with a few last bullets in the plasma repeater (can't remember its name anymore), but didn't have enough ammo nor time to kill him. He vanished in the teleport to redeemer in the moment I ran out of ammo. I followed, and immediately knew what he's going to do - as I appeared in the area, he picked up the redeemer, strafed a little to the edge of the platform, I tried to shoot but realized I had no ammo, so I immediately jumped down through the side to the middle floor and used that time to switch to sniper rifle. He fired off the redeemer, and hid himself (back to the edge so the platform itself was preventing me from seeing him). I didn't know at the time that it would work, but I instinctively shot with the sniper rifle at the rocket which was about 4 meters away from me in that moment, and to my surprise, hit it, and to my even bigger surprise, it exploded. (That's how I learned you CAN do that.). Next thought: shockwave will kill me - get far, fast! So I strafed right to the elevator area and fell down to bottom floor right as the shockwave reached the edge of the platform where my friend was standing (and the place I would be if I tried to just out-run it), and obliterated him.
Next thing I did, I wrote him something like: "You might be interested to know - I'm still alive, on the bottom of the lift area ;)".
Immediately after respawn he naturally ran in there, and I headshotted him while he was jumping down there and aiming for me, which was a very pleasant cherry on the top of badass cake.

P.S. damn, this turned out to be long...
P.P.S. the whole event, from my first shot at the friend, to my landing on the bottom floor, took about 6 seconds, the coolness for me partly came from the "how could I pull off something like that, so flawlessly, in such a quick pace and short time only by improvising moment to moment?".

In regards to doing something that is technically possible within a game, I once had a game in Halo 3 where my entire team quit on a 5v5 Slayer match because we were losing so bad. To enunciate that: we were losing SO BAD that it caused EVERYONE on my team to give up hope! Anyway, since I NEVER give up or surrender in ANY multiplayer game (I'm looking at you, League of Legends!), I naturally decided to stick it out. I picked up the sniper in the level, found a nice campsite, and proceeded to pick them all off, one-by-one, Predator style, until I was only about FIVE points behind. The match lasted about fifteen minutes longer than anyone thought, all the while, the other team had three guys with headsets, and they were all yelling for me to just give up and end the match, but I persevered to the end. I still lost the match, having five points less than them, but still... one guy against five, and I racked up the kills for my "team" by a buttload (can't remember the exact score). I thought it was pretty freakin' amazing!

In regards to something absolutely ridiculous, NOT intended by the developers, I once started a new game of "Fable: The Lost Chapters" and got my renown all the way to legendary BEFORE fighting the Wasp Queen (words cannot express the sheer amount of grinding and farming required for that), just so I could see what happens when you try to take those quests on the map table that say "your renown is not high enough for this quest". I should've guessed it wouldn't let me take it (going so far as to glitch the screen out completely when the card was FINALLY highlighted and selectable), but... there was always that hope that MAYBE I could find something awesome, like an easter egg in the game. Personally, I think they dropped the ball there; I think there should be a reward for that kind of effort, and surely SOMEONE at Lionhead figured there would be a player crazy enough to try and activate the quest card Briar Rose is supposed to take and tell you to clean the kitchens.

From a video game? The first time I beat Link's Awakening with no deaths was pretty great. I can't really feel good about wiping the floor with anyone in competitive games, as with my skill level, that merely means they were incompetent (MAG, MGO, w/e I'm definitely support, not a main hitter). On SSX, though, I once beat my Rival by 5 seconds, wiped the floor with his Trick It score, and got four times farther in a survival race than he did.
In a row.

from any game ever, though, would have to be when I annihilated 43 enemies in one turn, and 35 in the next (they were the only ones left) in a severely unfair D&D 3.5 session. Azog the Blade Dancer (a title acquired because of this fight) and Tog the Minotaur Cleric (roommates' character) managed to kill, between us, 150 enemies, all of whom had higher AC than the rest of the party could touch. And despite a stupidly low roll, if they connected, they could kill us all in two or three hits each. The DM did not understand encounter level properly, as the enemies we fought were several levels too high, culminating in a boss that we were only able to beat with a combination of perseverance, luck, and munchkining like hell when we realized the DM didn't know the rules about resurrection spells

I was playing Halo 3 team slayer on Valhalla, all my team mates quit when it was about 15-15, so I killed two guys and hid in a corner of the map for 15 minutes while the other team raged. Best thing about valhalla was that it is possible to use an invisible wall in the map to hide in mid air above a base, so I went and hid directly above the enemies base. None of them ever saw me.

All right, so there I was playing Skyrim. I was doing the thieves guild quest where you have to break into the meadery, steal some stuff and burn down 3, BUT ONLY 3 of the beehives. I managed to use a few potions of invisibility to get the stuff from inside, but was having trouble getting to the beehives undetected. Annoyed by this, I went to a little island off to the side of the place so that I could think about what to do next.

I was just sitting there when I heard a roar. I looked up and a freaking dragon was circling overhead. I fought with it for a bit when it decided to turn its attention to the meadery. It killed basically all of the guards outside for me and then burned down EVERY last one of the beehives. I managed to kill it, but not before it screwed me by burning down too many of the damn things. Needless to say, the thieves guild was not happy.

It's not so much badass in that it was any sort of success, but it really shows what kind of randomly epic shit can happen in Skyrim.

Bad company 2: Isla Inocentes while playing Rush.

Me and a bud joined a server while being on the attacking side, and of course our team was getting spawn killed by that ridiculous helicopter on the last base. It was murdering our whole team, but me and my bud were still on the first part of the map. Because I was using the UAV still, and he was covering me. Eventually we got tired of watching our entire team drop, so I started to pester the helicopter. It payed us no mind, and just avoided the damage by making runs across our team. That was it's first mistake.

I made him change class and cover the UAV with C4, then we coordinated an attack while I just drove it into the helicopter. BOOM, it worked! This pissed off the people who were otherwise invincible just a moment prior, and I know this because they jumped right back in the helicopter and started looking for the UAV station. This was their second mistake. Because they assumed our UAV station was in the new base, they looked there first, seeming perplexed when they didn't see us. I know this because I was watching them circle that spot while I was flying a second UAV (covered in C4) into their ass. BOOM! They died.

I knew at this point we were as good as dead, and sure enough they came only moments later; ignoring the rest of the game to reach the beginning of the map where we were stationed. This was their third mistake. I was waiting there with C4 on my UAV, ready. They were ready to, and veered away just in time, while jumping out of their helicopter to land on us for a surprise attack, which was their apparent plan all along. My friend ran forward and both their gunfire crossed over him; he died instantly. One of the enemies panicked and fell to his death, the other was still in his parachute when I quickly pulled out of the UAV screen and killed him with a magnum before he even hit the ground. I then proceeded to get into their still usable helicopter and give them their just reward.

Posted this before but i'll do it again.

In World of Warcraft, my buddy and I were roaming around Eastern Plaguelands just doing some world PvP when we got word of an incoming alliance raid. We suspected as much because we kept seeing a few allies running along the path for no particular reason one by one (you know the people that went ahead of the raid group).

So we start following the path to intercept the raid group and come to this point in the road with 2 mountains on each side and a narrow path. Visualize 300 type scenario. We know the raid will pass through here so there we wait. Just me a Blood elf ret paladin and my friend a rogue (who is still the best rogue I've ever known in that game by far).

The raid starts coming through and my friend being ridiculous at this class is taking people out left and right, I'm helping with stun locking, healing and just being OP since my class was particularly OP at the time. Whole battle lasts for maybe 15 minutes but we killed almost the entire raid just us two.

tldr: Buddy and I took out a 40+ alliance raid on our own. Most epic moment in gaming for me by far
At the time?! Paladins have always been and always will be OP.

OT: I don't have any epic stories :(.

Battlefield 3: Conquest on Noshahr Canal, US side, 500% tickets. I manage to steal the enemy T90 while they have no flags. Proceed to get a 47 kill streak in said tank. Give tank to randoms because I felt bad. Get more kills on foot before dying. Go 63-3 with the MVP ribbon.

Bad Company 2: Razing entire villages with the Blackhawks' minigun. Awww Yeah! 0.0% accuracy in the Blackhawk FTW!.
