Personal favorite plot in a videogame.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2. Completely unique and incredibly immersive. I loved every second of these two games.

This or the MGS plot.

And I don't think that the story in MGS is poorly written like in Resident Evil it's just that some of the dialogue is useless.

Best story in a game? Well, once upon a time there was an ordinary worm. A space suit fell on him, he climbed into it and BAM! he's a superhero! You spend the entire game trying to get to princess Whta's-Her-Name (yes, this how she's called) and the moment you find her she gets crushed under a falling cow you launched back on the first stage!

I still own this game for the SNES. A really great game.

I don't care what Yahtzee says: I still think that the plot in the Metal Gear Solid series is the best EVAR!

I'll go with this. Plot is amazing, how it's presented can be up for discussion. I don't think Yahtzee disliked the plot, just how it's presented and told. There is just to much to it and around it presented at the same time.

I like Mass Effect to. When I played it I thought "Star Wars" with some awesome action movie plot-touch added to it. It can only be one thing; awesome.

The Kingdom Hearts games are well written, FF7 you can't argue with either. I also like how the Three Jak and Daxter games sync up together with the surprise twist at the end as to who the Precursors are. Finally there's Sudeki for the Xbox, interesting concept towards the end.

FFT is probably my favorite plot of all time.
Grim Fandango is close.
Tales of Symphonia was the worst plot I have ever played through in all of my time gaming.

The original KOTOR. Some of the best characters ever, and the plot was outstanding.

I would definitely have to agree with this. KOTOR was quite an amazing game, although I also am in love with both the Fable's.

Xenogears, Hands down. It's from the golden age or JRPGs and it had one of the best plot lines ever. It mix's giant robots, Judo-christian philosophy and Freudian psychology into one of the best story lines ever. To bad it was rushed to completion so some of the minor plot points were not resolved.

Baulders Gate 2 was awesome to if only for their villain, Jon Irenicus. No other villain makes being evil so creep and awesome at the same time.

Eternal Darkness.

The Half-Life series isn't too terribly complex, aliens invaded and drained our oceans, but I love the way they don't just usually force it down your throat until it's absolutely necessary(as to why rockets need to be launched into space or whatever.) and leaves you to figure things out for yourself.

And although it's not too terribly...great or unique, I love Doom's concept. It's up to the baddest Marine on the planet to fight his way through the legions of hell in order to save the world.
