Conan the Barbarian. Just the sense of power that movie contains is astounding. Sure, it may have given Hollywood the stereotypical 'barbarian' look to abuse, but in the film itself it is well done. The soundtrack is also absolutely superb and is appropriate for the films content. It also proves Arnold was better in the quiet role. Like The Terminator, he doesn't say much - he uses his actions to speak for him. That is what he was best at.

Ratatouille. It's a combination of many things that appeal to me. A love of food, a good underdog story, a different kind of victory, a tale of friendship, and of course the magic touch of Pixar.

It's my favorite movie.

Yeah I love Scott Pilgrim Too although I think my personal favourite is WALL-E. To me it's the perfect love movie. I was touch by WALL-E love for EVE which is somewhat shocking that it's coming from a robot (I mean the sterotype view that robot are emotionless).

Romeo + Juliet. I absolutely love Shakespeare anyway, though I can't say the same for every adaptation of his work (I actually saw the RSC, who I've seen a few times in amazingly good performances, absolutely butcher Antony & Cleopatra a few years ago, at the Globe no less...). And Baz Luhrman gave his signature twist and an update to one of the seminal masterpieces of Shakespeare's entire portfolio. The symbolism Luhrman uses in the film is sublime, and no matter how many time I see it it still never fails to move me. Which is more than I can say for most films, hard-hearted bastard that I am...

Look Closer.
I just realized when you said "look Closer" that it's a Belly Button/Navel. Why did I always think it was a nose?

OT: My Perfect movie: Fritz Lang's Metropolis. To date, I have yet to see a movie that is as magical as it was the first 5 times I've watched it. It is timeless, and I love it so much. It's not perfect, but I do not care, it's flawless to me.

Either V for Vendetta or Chasing Amy. I can't choose just one. V is my favorite action-y movie and Chasing Amy is my favorite comedy.

Scott Pilgrim is also on my list of favorites.

Nightmare Before Christmas. I am a sucker for a good musical, and that one just does everything right. I love the story, the animation, the songs, the voice acting.... pretty much everything.

How To Train Your Dragon is a close second.

Demolition Man. Its not exactly a favourite movie but I have seen it soooooo many times and never gotten bored of it. Even movies that I liked better I still get bored of after like the first watch.
And I just have to know how those fucking 3 seashells work!

That's my favorite as well, and you basically read my mind with that description.

Never seen Scott Pilgrim, it's on the list.

The Lord of the Rings is some of the best film work I've ever seen, but that said, the Hunt for Red October holds a special place in my heart. I don't know why, to be honest, but I save it for special occasions.

I love the Scott Pilgrim books. And therefore hate the Scott Pilgrim film. With a powerful, burning intensity.

Personal favorite film? I'm all over the place on this. Most days, it's one of:

Boogie Nights
Spirited Away
Kiki's Delivery Service
Lost in Translation

The Brothers Bloom.

Seems like nobody watched that indie film starring, surprisingly, Adrian Brody.
If you are an eighty year old movie critic who judges a movie by strict parameters it must follow, you will not like it. The overall pacing and the sudden change of mood in the final act are technically "faults", but I love that movie to death.

Dawn of the Dead(the Remake), i've watched this film so many times i know the entire script off by heart.

Scott Pilgrim is actually one of my most hated films, its not the worst film i've ever seen, but i really don't like it.
