you see i love comics of scott pilgrim too. thats the thing with movies from books people always have a really hard time just judging the movie cause of all the pre-viewing knowledge. this is where it kinda worked for me is that i had an idea in my head of all the things this movie needs to do to really get me and it hit every point.im not a film maker but i am a nerd and that is how i would have made scott pilgrim if i was making it for my own personal viewing.

P.S. i appreciate the bro fists they make me feel manly

Ghost in the Shell - each time I've watched it I've found new meaning, like Akira before it the complex storylines on my young mind confused me but did not perturb, moreso drew me in and demanded repeat viewing - at the point no other movie had done that, in fact, to this day no other movies have done that - and I've watched alot of movies (I used to work in a rental store, primarily chosen for free films, he paycheck was a bonus).

I don't want to be argumentative, and it's alright that you liked the film, but really? REALLY?

The film absolutely MURDERED the books. The timing was off. The pacing was off. The casting of Scott was atrocious. The plot from the last 3 books was completely derailed and taken in an entirely new, ghastly direction. Several key characters were either underwritten (Envy, Stephen, KIM) and at least one was completely over-focused on (Knives, WTF). Most of the themes and the emotional core of the books were dropped. I guess it kept a good many of the video game references though. Woop.

Scott Pilgrim speaks to me in a way no other movie does. It makes me happy to watch it. I know its not perfect but it is my perfect movie.
*Brofist*

That's my favorite as well, and you basically read my mind with that description.
*Doube Brofist*

I only saw this movie yesterday, but I still feel the same way :D.
*Triple Brofist*

I watch it like every weekend with my brother. I finally got the Blu-Ray and have been trying to watch all of the commentary/extra stuff

Trainspotting. I love everything about this movie, from it's great opening monologue to it's incrediably dark humour and quite possible the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a film. Lust For Life, Perfect Day, Born Slippy. Brilliant.

Some good films mentioned here! scott pilgrim and big trouble in little china in particular!

but my favourite film has to be battle royale, though not for the reasons you'd probably expect.

It gets tons of hate, but I have quite the soft spot for the Super Mario Bros movie. Also, The Black Beauty movies.
