This is a question posed to me by a friend of mine earlier tonight, and I was wondering what my fellow Escapists would say in response. The question is:

If you were struck by some vague, non-specific twist of reality and given superpowers based on your personality, what would they be?

The Fantastic Four, as my friend pointed out, are one such example. Ben is strong, tough, and stubborn, Johnny is a cocky hotshot, etc. What about you, my fellow Escapists? What would your powers be? Mine would probably be color clones, control and manipulation over sound, luck, and exceptional skill and coordination with firearms and incendiary explosives.

I'd probably just get super-analysis powers. I tend to over-analyze things from time to time.

Or invisibility, because whatever I do tends to go unnoticed unless it's extraordinary.

Um... extreme sluttiness?

Some sort of seduction powers, maybe? That or I'd have super powers relating to being really good in bed.

Oh, hey, maybe I'd be like Phedre. She's not exactly a super hero, but she does have mystical sex powers.

Socially awkward man to the rescue!
My social phobia aside, I used to be a very convincing and manipulative guy - so I guess some sort of mind control would be my super power.

Well, I'm very quiet and shy, so I'd probably get invisibility.

Either that, or I could heal others, because I like to help people.

In my opinion, both would be pretty kick-ass abilities.
(I just struggled trying to spell "invisibility". Three years away from school have not been kind to me...)

The power of solitude.

Whenever I'm by myself, I can manipulate all forms of matter to my whims. But, as soon as someone gets near me, reality reverts to normal.

I'd attack by turning my clothing into wings, bladed edges, spikes, ect.

My offensive capacity would change depending on my outfit.

Did that game have a similar thing going on? I thought it had something to do with buttons.

You're my new favorite escapist.

The buttons were a big part of it, yes. There was also the detail of your clothes helping or hindering your stats depending on your wardrobe style and the district you were currently in.

The best superpower is the ability to be awesome and not have any.

But that's off-topic. I'd cause depression, control machines and manipulate reality to some extent. I'd have a room that would be a scale miniaturization of the universe taken from the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

I'd use it to invent mind-altering depressed robots.

My superpower is the ability to dive wholly into my computer and travel through the "tubes" and out through other computers.
