The way I look at it is that if it is an alien it doesn't matter to all us plebes because that information would probably never be released to the public despite all common sense, this makes it interesting, but largely irrelevent.
One point of consideration though is that we all know about cranial binding, deformities, and other things, and I'd imagine that was the reason for calling in multiple experts from more than one nation to examine the remains. The fact that the experts are not mentioned by name is actually the most compelling reason to doubt this, if not for that detail I might suspect they had found something unusual as opposed to this being an intentional overreaction for the lulz.
Nothing to do with this article, but truthfully I think those people who are so quick to scream "hoax" due to there being so many of them, are just as bad as those perpetuating the hoaxes. Especially when it comes down to a lot of debunkers and such being just as bad as the hoaxsters in many cases.
