Recently Peta raised their case against the tanuki suit in super mario. A suit that made it's appearance since 1988. Their claim against the suit, that made it's next appearance in Mario 3D Land, says that super mario is claiming that it's ok to wear fur. Not once does any of mario's games suggest any kind of animal cruelty, infact the suit is obtained through a leaf from a mystery box.
Here is where Peta's Hypocrisy comes into play. In their game "New Super Chick Sisters" there is a level where you have to swim to progress through the level. Your character has no natural ability to swim, so you have the wear a suit to swim. The suit you have to wear is a fish suit. But hey it's a fish suit right, there is no sign you have to obtain or even to suggest a cruel means to get the suit. Oh wait, to obtain the suit, you have to obtain a fish. Now doesn't this sort of back fire on Peta's anti-tanuki suit campaign?
Also does wearing said fish suit contradict yet another campaign of anti-fish cruelty? Correct me if I am wrong.
