Hasn't peta screwed up enough for them to lose their creditability yet? I recall quite a few little "slip ups" which I don't recall at the moment but ah well. I don't support McDonalds crappy chemically flavored food...I'm a Wendies kinda guy haha.

I don't see why this action would result in even more PETA hate. They have a good point:

In the slaughterhouses of McDonald's U.S. and Canadian chicken suppliers, birds are dumped out of their transport crates and hung upside-down in metal shackles, which often results in broken bones, extreme bruising, and hemorrhaging. Workers have the opportunity to abuse live birds, and birds have their throats cut while they are still conscious. Many birds are immersed in tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive and able to feel pain.

McDonald's has the ability to end these abuses.

There is a less cruel method of chicken slaughter available to McDonald's suppliers called controlled-atmosphere killing, or CAK, and it would cost the corporation nothing to demand that its suppliers use it. CAK would eliminate the worst abuses currently suffered by chickens killed for McDonald's. In fact, a 2005 study about CAK produced by McDonald's concluded that it is far better for animals than the current method of slaughter.
So they want a quick and clean way to kill animals instead of having them suffer so long before being killed. Is that really such a bad cause? They're not asking McDonalds to close down all their stores and they're not asking people to stop visiting McDonalds. So I really have a hard time understanding the "DAMN YOU PETA!" and "PETA can go fuck itself" reactions.
The problem is, instead of launching an informational and educational program preaching for meat industry reform, PETA launches these campaigns that get laughs from meat eaters instead of causing people to think about what their eating. This kind of looniness gets ignored, not brought to the surface.

I will always oppose any group who opposes medical advancement in favor of saving the rats bred for medical experiments. To quote the all mighty Penn Gillete:
"I would personally strangle to death every single chimpanzee in the world, with my bare hands, to save one street junkie with AIDs."

*sigh* This makes me want to walk by their local HQ with KFC.......again.
I'll join, but I'll bring the McDonald's! And I'll make sure it's Chicken Nuggets...you know, it taste good for being tortured...
Ok, the group is almost commplete. We just need some one to blend up hamburger meat and put it in water balloons to throw it at the HQ.
Well, I think it's high time to recruit...what do you say?
Yes, I like that idea. Payment: Some KFC.

*Danger* You might get hurt.
Well, I could use some new battle scars! And besides, we'll have Russia, who jumps out of a plane screaming "Vodka"
Yes, everyone could use some more battle scars. I guess the plan goes like this;

I jump out the plane a 20,000 feet, smashing through the top of the building, throwing cicken legs at everyone, then when I land, you hit them with the McDonalds. We then ninja run away.
And don't forget to yell "Vodka" on the way down. And for ninja-ing...we should have a car near by...in case you can't run.
Yes, that sounds better thanmy idea. It should be a......Tyson's Cicken Dleiveray truck! Just to stick it to them.
*high five* Ok...now, location, location, LOCATION!

To add something in, honestly, you shouldn't eat at McDonalds anyway. It is horrendously unhealthy, the food quality is terrible, it is more expensive than making your own burgers, your own burgers will taste better and you'll know exactly how and who prepared your meal if you make it yourself. There is nothing better than grilling chicken, burgers and brats on a good summer day. Hell, even in winter I can do it on my stove pretty well.

Ya, it would cost McDonald's NOTHING to make their suppliers switch. Prove it, PETA.

That's how chickens have been prepared forever. They get their head chopped off. (I assume they are trying to let the blood drip out while hanging down.) It's a fucking BIRD! A BIRD, PETA! IT DOESN'T HAVE A SOUL (assuming humans do.) WHY THE FUCK DO YOU NEVER CARE WHEN A FUCKING HUMAN BEING IS KILLED, BUT IF ONE OF YOUR CUTE LITTLE animals is, you get your tampons in a knot?! (Sorry, but not even PETA can make me spam caps lock for a long period of time.) Why are you not PETP (people), or PETE (everything)? It's a bird that doesn't know up from down, and it sickens you that they are treated like the product they were born to become! You have to go as far as insult something as wholesome and traditional (and brilliant in marketing) as the Happy Meal, all for birds who have no idea what PETA even is (or who they are fattening up.)

PETA: The one thing we all can agree upon hating. That and Hannah Montana, Disney, the Jonas Brothers, and Twilight.

If you get shocked and complain about PETA you're just giving them publicity, and that's just what they're after.

Honestly, just ignore them and they'll hopefully go away, kind of like forum trolls actually.

As they say, people are always talking about how animal rights crazy.. but at least they're talking about animal rights at all. That's the point they're making. It's true when they say no one would ever pay attention unless they degraded themselves all the time and sparked controversy.

PETA is funny. What non-vegan is truly offended by all their stunts? It's absurd and humorous.

I like how PETA totally missed the point behind the "cruel" bird slaughter methods. It's not because McDonalds is intentionally being a bunch of jackasses. These methods are used because they're efficient. Due to the number of McDonalds restaurants in the world, they need to get that chicken dead, prepped, and shipped efficiently and en masse. If McDonalds gave in to PETA, they would actually lose a lot of revenue as they'd have to spend time making sure all those chickens are perfectly comfortable before death, resulting in a drastic decrease in the rate of chicken meat shipments, which would mean either a shortage of McNuggets or noticabely increased prices for McDonalds chicken based products.

In short: PETA can ***** and moan all they like. McDonalds isn't going to change their methods.

Ah I love PETA so much. Whenever I need a good laugh, they always come through for me. Makes me proud that I eat meat.

That kind of shock advertising would just scare people away from the organization rather than get anyone to actually take it seriously. All of these advertisements ignore the fact that PETA kills lots of animals yearly.
I think PETA kills more animals than even Chinese fur-farmers. Seriously.

DAMN YOU PETA! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

Seriously tough, why? Why do this, PETA? You realize that there are more pressing issues at hand, like dealing with retard PSA makers.

Edit: ooh, a video? Let's watch, shall we?

Did anyone else find this hilariously funny?

I am laughing and hungry because of this.

PETA is starting to become more about the shock and awe then what it's trying to push. Frankly, it's also starting to get boring as well. If PETA want to educate people and change things, fine. But at least go about it in the same matter.
