Okay i realize this isnt the first time someone has started a forum like this, and im sure it wont be the last, but seriously?
Apparently Peta has an issue with the tanooki suit from mario 3, saying it promotes the wearing of fur. hell they even made a seriously f**ked up game, which has mario wearing a bloody fur, and you playing as a skinless tanooki. is it me or is the stuff peta makes more offensive and screwed up then the stuff they fight against>

(P.S. i do not hate all members of PETA, i know many members simply are against what we know is bad, i just get annoyed with the over the top stuff like this)

I like what PETA fundamentally stands for, animal rights. They have the right basic idea, they just take it too far.

Yeah, I think they're kind of missing the point if they think nintendo is promoting animal cruelty through this. There are way worse things than this. Honestly, it's like they hate games more than fox news does.

i sense a disturbance in the force, as though a thousand mario fans scream in the distance.

OT: they'll do anything to get attention to their "cause". I think someone should make a flash game where a PeTA member runs around a shelter euthanizing animals and e-mail it to them, just to tick them off.

alignment test always tell me i'm lawful good, but i think i'm chaotic neutral/neutral good.

lol, fox news vs peta: who hates stuff more?

but, as i said earlier, i like what peta stands for, trying to get rid of animal cruelty, some of them just tend to go out of line with it.
good example: theres this girl i know at my school who will flip out about half the time when she sees someone eating anything with meat, and often berates them about how its evil and what not. If your vegan/vegetarian, fine. more power to ya, i heard its very healthy, and theres no bad reason to do it. some people really do just enjoy meat too much to give it up though (me included), and shoving your opinion on the matter in their face is not likely gonna change their mind. Basically, respect other people's opinions/beleifs, plz?

PS: you think this is bad, i heard that peta is planning on launching a pornographic website, complete with porn videos, as well as videos of animal cruelty. Thanks for ensuring that we will have a whole new generation of serial killers peta!

There's a good reason for that ... I'd hate to see what was LEFT of a PETA member who tried to throw a bucket of cow's blood on a biker...

Which always made me wonder: Where do they get this cow's blood?

Still, they also don't protest NRA conventions, do they? It's never a good idea to piss off gun owners. Just sayin'

If they didn't support terrorism it'd be a good step for animal rights. PETA wants all animals dead though.

People are still surprised by P.E.T.A's obnoxious attention grabbing antics? I thought we'd get the message when they sent a fly-killing-mechanism to Barack Obama so he could kill the flies more humanely.
They're kind of like Scientology in the sense that a lot of the underlings are in it for a good cause and are probably genuinely nice people, but the management is completely mental with secret agendas or underhanded tactics.

Doesn't PETA euthanize about 94% of the animals they "save"?
Yes. Yes they do. Penn and Teller did a bit on that.

I'd actually say that's unfair to Scientoligists, that is, to compare them to PETA

Why didn't P.E.T.A have a problem with this when Mario Bros. 3 came out with the racoon tail, the tanooki suit being the same damn thing it is now, and the frog suit, or last year with the penguin suit in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. P.E.T.A. is just being a whiny *****.

Oh, I think you mis-spoke there, shouldn't it be: "... They just don't have a friggin clue about what that would mean."
Seriously, they do way more harm than good for animal rights. Especially since the only thing they ever do is missunderstand something completely and just go "full retard".
I have never had any respect for them as an organization, there are a whole lot of groups that do much good for animal rights, PETA has just never been one of them. They're just very vocal and get much press because hilarity sells.

Not that I'm the first or only one to say so....

Even if PETA's logic was sound in their decision against the Tanooki suit, they seem to be missing the whole point of where you are jumping and killing turtles or throwing fireballs at fish.

PETA are stupid ignorant hypocrites
they put down more healthy dogs and cats each year
than any other organisation in the US.

I heard there latest idea is to make a porn site with animal rights
messages and anti-vivisection propaganda on it.

call me crazy but I'm not sure I want to mix pics of hot girls with pics of mutilated animals I'm sure there are people on the net with that kind of taste but it must be a niche market
