Sad sad news indeed, England has lost a great actor. Loved him in Sharpe, and pretty much everything else I've seen him in. And a 20 year battle with cancer? What a hero.
He actually died in my hometown of Shrewsbury, and his daughter went to the same secondary school as me because he lived in the area, people in Shropshire seem to be especially saddened by his death, and it wasnt uncommon to see him out and about locally.
