Apparently the fact OP's account isn't even a day old and his only post is asking people to sign a petition gives him more credibility than me.
No, he doesn't have more credibility, but he does have more tact.

I think you may have just been looking at this wrong. This has nothing to do with cred. The OP posted in a gaming forum about a game that he owns that has a bug in it. He cited a source for that information and is asking people who may also be affected to sign a petition in the (albeit futile) hope that the publisher will release said patch.

You response to this was "Advertising Much?" The problem with that is he isn't advertising, he is asking for help. People disagreed with you, and now you are just going back and forth with folk over nothing really, which is why folks are calling you a troll.

Also, by the guidelines on The Escapist, if you think someone is advertising, harassing or creating an issue, you are supposed to just press the "Report" button and NOT comment in the thread and let the admins handle it.

Urgh, this glitch irritated me so much, I spent ages finding the collectables and it broke before I was able to finish. I'm more interested about the people who managed to recieve free games over these complaints though, there are probably plenty of petitions about a patch for the game already and EA clearly don't care. Either way, I won't be buying any EA games any time soon.

Advertising much?
It's about games on a gaming forum.
So I can advertise on this forum as long as I'm advertising games?
OT: Pre-order Halo: Reach!
Jesus dude, it's just a link, do you seriously class this as advertising? I mean it's not as if the OP is using a spam account to flood the forums with crap.
Note the fact they have 1 post and the fact that nobody cares.
Oh yes because 71 gives you more cred.
Oh yes because 4537 gives you more cred.

actually it does, it mean he/she knows more about the forums and what goes on in them, besides you don't have to be a dick if a guy is trying to get people to sign on a petition to patch a game that he likes....glad i bought the xbox version.
*Cough*secondaccount*Cough*
this is your second account...good for you, but even so, you seem to be acting like an arrogant brat so I still stand by what I said.

Is he advertising a game by saying it's broken?

Worst advertisement I've ever seen.
I know, he needs to advertise like me.
OT: Buy the MW2 maps to live longer!
Troll, troll, troll, troll. Troll, troll, troll, troll, tradadadadatroll.

Go bury yourself in a pile of manure, maybe it'll cover up how bad you stink of troll.
Oh no it's the Cyber police!
Boring troll, boring meme, go back to /b/.
/b/?
"/b/" is a message board on 4chan that is almost completely unmoderated and thus is home to the worst of the internet. The people on there are ruthless, cruel, and vile and sometimes coordinate enough to launch "assaults" on other sites. This usually results in the victimized site getting flooded with spam, viruses, and other nasty things.Personally, I like to refer to /b/ as the "asscrack of the internet"

Does anyone not see the simple solution to this glitch?

Delete the game data, which contains the patches. Then boot game when NOT signed in so you aren't prompted/forced to download and install the patches, which created the glitch. Then play the single player without the patches and sign out when you want to play, you'll still get trophies.
