Here in the UK, its not the case of bent cops but more to do with political interference. How do I explain it? You see, in the USA, your government has increased the budget for law enfirce in several states depending on what the heads of state ask for. I have seen the reports and research about several states having tanks just to combat "terrorism". Not all states have that problem might I add. However in the UK, whatever is being decided in Westminster when it comes to law enforcement, has affected police numbers and the budget they get. They have to handle more cases with less officers to handle all those crimes reported. I can't say how other nations handle there police matter but here its down to political mess most of the time.
Oh the wonders of the Dept of Homeland Security...

Anyway...so the UK's police service is severely underfunded?
Well, that makes a public sting operation sound more plausible, sadly.

There's not much to discuss in nuance, but perhaps there's something worth organizing at the public level.
I can't imagine your pubs would like it, extra initial business boost from these creeps aside, it does nobody any good to be known for attracting sexual predators.

I live out in Chicagoland, and every year there is at least one nasty incident where the police are accused of acting "along racial lines"; usually it's some ganger that gets gunned down for attacking an officer, and the local neighborhood immediately uses that death to sound the hate parade.

Technicalities aside, it's a climate of fear and reprisal. I don't live in the bad spots of town, but I frequently visit them or very near them on a weekly basis. I'd be scared of cops too if I might be gunned down or otherwise beaten just for sharing a race with the local hoods.

The real porker this year for that was down in Ferguson Missouri, and not Chicagoland, for a change.
And good God was that ugly...

My township, thankfully, has a very good police dept, and pretty mellow neighborhood to boot; the cops frequently patrol but rarely run the lights, as it were.

In any case, perhaps the cynic in me just assumed you had bent cops. Sorry.

The man is not a "pick-up artist".

First off, picking up a woman for the night without the use of provocation, manipulation or alcohol is an innate ability that you cannot "teach". It requires a huge amount of social intuition in being able to read people and pick up on signals, most importantly, realizing when a woman just isn't interested. If a guy tells you how he can show you how to pick up "any girl", that should be a gigantic red flag right there. What this man does is capitalize on something that clueless idiots think they can achieve. It's like giving classes on how to be over six feet tall. It just doesn't work like that.

Second, something people have already touched on, the man is a fucking criminal. Grabbing a woman by the head a shoving her face in your crotch, fondling and kissing her without consent..these are sex crimes. The UK has every right to deny him from their country.

I'm glad they banned him. He FORCES WOMENS FACES INTO HIS CROTCH. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Then FLEES the country before charges can be pressed while carefully selecting victims he thinks will be too intimidated to report the crime.

You cannot defend this. This is undefendable. He is not a victim. He is useless fucking garbage. And honestly, the fact that people here are defending him makes me fucking sick. Im fucking disgusted. Im gonna take a hiatus from the escapist.

He wasnt charged. Alright who fucking cares. If theres video of me committing a murder, in another country and I try to come here I cant just say "Well I wasnt charged!" to defend myself because thats mindnumbingly stupid. Theres VIDEO of me committing the crime! Direct video evidence. They should treat him exactly the same as if he was charged with that video available to see.

Theres a huge host of reasons he might not be charged, he actively gives tips on how to be a VERY good and effective predator who ensures his own safety from the law/consequence in a number of ways. Rewarding him for that is utter insanity.

Thank FUCK that these people are on the wrong side of the decision. to be frank id rather have 100000000 whining people than this dude in the nation. I dont consider their opinions remotely important in comparison to the harm he has been shown to do when he visits a country.
Same.

It would be one thing if he was your average Pick Up artist clown. But this man has actively gone out of his way to find easily manipulated, down on their luck, submissive, and uninterested women to coerce into his sick practices and to top it off make videos showcasing said shit on Youtube so other guys can follow suit. (Granted I want to know how many of those views were people absolutely disgusted by it and how many genuinely want to be like him. They are basically banning a man whom by his own "profession" was guaranteed to commit a crime, cause trouble for the locals, ensure emotional distress to the women he preys upon, and brag about it on his social media sites.

Of course I'll be fair to half the people who defended him because they probably didn't look at anything much pass the OP title. The other half...well let's just say I'm not all that surprised.

Isn't this one of those guys that uses the Duluth Model as a dating tool? Maybe it's one of those other scummy assholes. Eh, no matter. Banning this guy from the country is too good. Extradite his ass back to Japan so they can level some charges on him.

What I don't understand is, if you have more than enough proof that this guy is a criminal, why not prosecute him? I mean, ok, the UK is in it's right banning him from entering, but he'll just go somewhere else where they don't care so much and keep doing his thing.

I don't think this is a proper measure to deal with people like him.
The problem now is that he is taking down his videos off Youtube, and that he committed some of these acts in other countries and bailed before authorities could actually even begin to do an investigation. That's also not to mention that as others have said in this thread, this man picks the women he commits these crimes to very carefully.

These aren't your average girls where they would deck you in the face or call security at a moments notice. He goes after some really submissive, possibly easily emotionally manipulated women who probably won't do say anything if you make a big enough threat to their person.

Its fucking gross. Granted now that this has caught wind in other countries, and they gather enough evidence he won't be on the streets for long. After all, I'm fairly certain he pulled this shit in his home country. All it'll take at this point is for him to mess with the wrong women.

I would like to see him castrated with a rusty grapefruit spoon, to be honest, but unfortunately even Kickstarter cannot provide me with something like that.

Is it wrong that I'm kind of hoping that woman is She-Hulk's alter ego or something?
That'd be great actually. Bonus points if the man was video recording in secret to make his follow up series to his Japan one.

That way the hold world can be witness to the day a colossal shit lord lost his gonads, and his freedom to walk the streets.

Of if She-Hulk isn't an option it would be great to see a seemingly timid women turn him into a pretzel because she's secretly a black belt martial arts expert. Those stories always gave me a good laugh.

What pubs? Depends on where you go, pubs are a rare thing now. Replaced by corner shops, betting shops and big chain supermarket's opening up "local" stores. And some pics do have strict rules on sexual pest like that and clubs too.

In several department its underfunded yeah. Anti-terriorism gets the most and since the whole ISIS situation and British born jihadist going over to Syria and Iraq fighting for them. Then there is the child abuse cases that has popped up that was ignored for years because of how police mishandled those cases. Once again, a young teen reports to the police that she has been abused by adults, was ignored and one of evidence that someone handed in being "lost". All on all, a million more problems come up but law enforce don't have enough money or man power to handle every single case which can lead to some cases being mishandled or put on hold or just ignored. There are more too this which is why there had been more and more inquiries.

You know, I'm gonna take a tack different from misogyny.

No, I'm going to bash him not for being a pick-up artist because I'm sure that's been discussed to death already in this thread, but for being a rip-off artist.

Pickup artistry is pseudoscience, plain and simple. There are no magic words you can say or fancy tricks you can do that will make a person attracted to you. It's called "neuro-linguistic programming" and it's been debunked over and over again.

Some people with anxiety issues or trouble dealing with social situations, even if not for pathological reasons, legitimately have need of professional help when it comes to pursuing a romantic life. They might legitimately be suffering because they are unable to act on their desire to approach someone of the opposite sex.

Such people don't need lessons in "game" so they can go to the club to be a dudebro, or tricks to "short circuit her emotions and logical mind". They need counseling, therapy, and clinical support to overcome and manage the issues underlying their social troubles. When those "game" techniques fail to work, when "treating them mean to keep them keen" causes you to appear repulsive or, even worse, your techniques to break down "last minute resistance" get you reported to the police, the problem just gets even worse.

Saying that, for a sizable chunk of cash, you can teach someone some magic tricks to overcome their anxiety and instantly fix all of the problems in their life is just the definition of fraud. I'm more inclined to say that pick-up artists are charlatans first and misogynists second than the other way around.

A government banning someone from entering their country because they disagree with their opinions?

Yeah how could this possibly abused.

Anyway can people in the UK please stop pretending they have free speech.

I also think it's kind of pointless from a practical perspective. Keeping him out of the UK is not going to stop his message from spreading. He could easily just video tape himself saying whatever he was going to say and put it on youtube or make his own website. Hell he could even have a live stream and answer questions from the crowd in the chat.

So what exactly have they accomplished in doing this?

So the guy started out making videos of him doing this and showing how he got the girls not to report him. Guys wanted to now how to do that too, so now he charges them money for him to teach them how to sexually assault women and manipulate them into not reporting it. Sure Some of the videos have been pulled now due to the nature of them, but MANY people already viewed them before they took them down. I am sure they exist somewhere on line still. DID you miss this happening when the videos were put up in the first place?
And that makes his actions more deplorable than what I described? Freedom of speech means swallowing things that you find utterly disgusting and deplorable too. Well, at least I'm taught so.
Physical contact with the unwilling is an integral part of his "training." He is explicitly instructing others to commit sexual assault. It's not a free speech issue once you cross that boundary.

EDIT
Even disallowing the physical contact, his program explicitly encourages emotional abuse. I'd say that's grounds for disallowing him from continuing in the same spirit as not being permitted to yell "fire" in a theatre. Or "Death to America" in American cities.
Fire in a crowded theater was based off a supreme court case that got overturned, it's not precedent anymore. Death to America I'm pretty sure is covered under free speech here. Certainly flag burning is.

In the US it totally does. The standard is imminent lawless action as in "let's beat this person up right now".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandenburg_v._Ohio

But if it's illegal for him to say that stuff in the UK, the let him in, warn him about what's illegal and only arrest him if he says those things.

Does this stuff only apply to speech though? Like if I legally buy a high powered firearm in the US and try to go to the UK without bringing it will they deny me entry? Why should it be different with speech? If he didn't say that stuff in the UK then why should they deny him entry?

There's another funny thing about free speech; the UK ain't got it.
They once threw a guy in jail for making offensive posts on facebook (I can't remember the name of the guy they jailed off the top of my head, do you).

These were jokes he made about a kid who was recently raped and I think also murdered by a pedophile. Nobody in the courts was under the impression these weren't jokes and yet he got sentenced to jail anyway.

So if the UK thinks it has free speech it's either ignorant of the laws it has or it has no idea what free speech means. I mean we can all argue over the finer details and edge cases but "don't arrest someone for saying things just because they offend you" is a pretty fundamental part of free speech.

Keeping a sexual predator who's only reason for being in the country was to teach men how to be effective sexual predators out of the country. Most people would call that a good thing.
The point is he can teach them from outside of the country too.

LifeCharacter said:
You might want to pretend that he's only being disallowed from entering the country because of a disagreement of opinions, but, thankfully, the people that make important decisions care more about preventing sexual assault than willfully ignoring everything he's done for the sake of making snarky comments.
I've never heard of the guy before, but I've seen the UK has a habit of banning people from entry when they are harmless people with deplorable opinions.

And he has been charged or convicted with anything? If not, then this seems like barring a rap artist who talked about shooting people in his songs.

Accusations are easy, anyone can accuse anyone of anything at the drop of a hat.
And can anybody be barred from entering a country for any old accusation?

Let's not pretend all instances are equal, shall we?
Let's not pretend that being barred from a country is evidence that the accusation is credible.
