Its scenario time!

Your walking down a street, when suddenly a person comes up to you and hands you a book.

"In this book" the person says "is written how you will die." the person then leaves, and mysteriously disappears before you can ask questions.

You do not know who this person was.

You can no longer find this person.

The books appearance is bland - it has no title, no descriptions, publisher/authors name, etc.

You do not even know if the person was saying the truth... However, something in your mind tells you that what the person was saying is true.

You cannot seem to write, erase or change anything on the paper of the book.

The person never said anything about when you will die. Only how.

What do you do with the book?

Read it. Find out if the future really is inevitable as you try your best to avoid it. Of course you get to die without passing what you find out on.

Throw it away.

If I know how I'm going to die, I'll spend my life living in fear of things that might bring about those circumstances.

I publish the book and make massive profits off it.

My life is awesome, therefore my death will be awesome

I'll take the book, walk up to a random person, hand it to them and say, "Written in this book is how you will die." Then I will walk away.

Sell it. Some sucker into fortune-telling and stuff will probably pay good money for it.

I'd take a glance inside, then throw it away. A little peek wouldn't hurt... ^_^.

I'd do this with it.
Throw it in the air. And make sure it lands in A) A minefield, B) On the testicular area of Keanu Reeves after being re caught then dropped from a tall building. With an anvil tied to it.
Or C) In a pool of acid.

I'd erase most of it, write random crap and hand it to some poor shmuck that believes me.

Better question what if you open it and it says you die of old age. Does that mean you could die at 20 something because of a loose translation of old?

Find another person and hand them the book saying the same exact thing the man who handed me the book said.

(another Death note fantopic?) lol

well, to answer that, because it's Fatum, i would do the most dangerous things in the world knowing that i'll survive it since my destiny is already written.

Get rid of it without reading it.

With those kind of 'gifts' the rub is always this:

By 'knowing' your cause and time of death you will try to avoid it, it's instinctive, but in doing so you in set events in motion that lead you inexorably to that ending. You will cause the death written for you by trying to avoid it, it's better to just not know and not worry.
