So after recently getting my 5th piercing (Eyebrow) which was by far the most painful one I've had to date, and quite a few people being all "OHH WHY WOULD YOU EVEN?", I was wondering escapists; who of you has piercings, tattoos or other forms of body modification?

If you don't have any, would you want to get any? If not, why not? Do you find them attractive? And what is the worst piercing/tattoo/body mod you've ever seen?

Lets have a civil conversation about putting metal in ourselves to get away from the gender wars and politics for a change!

(Also there was a thread on this, but I didn't fancy necro'ing a year old thread.)

I only have pierced ears.
As for tattoos, I don't have any, but I've been thinking about getting one.
I want to draw my own and just haven't gotten around to it.

I don't have an opinion as to finding them attractive.
If the person I care about has tattoos covering their whole body, I probably wouldn't care.
Piercings can go a little overboard, but the studs can be removed if necessary.

They can be totally boss, or they can be totally dumb.
It's up to you whether you chose to decorate yourself with boss shit or dumb shit.

It's mostly to do with how original, good looking, and consistent (for larger/several tattooos) it is.

I had my Ear pierced but I had to pull it out becasue I am apparently allergic to Silver, which sucks because I can't transform into a Wolf. I wouldn't get a Tattoo because they are quite silly.

No I think piercings and tattoos are stupid. Some tattoos are okay if you don't overdo it. Same with piercings. Maybe my ears and that's it. The singer and bassist for the band Skillet are married and have ring tattoos instead of actual rings. I thought that was actually pretty cool. I wouldn't mind doing that if I got married.

Dude that means you are a werewolf! Just make sure never to get shot by a silver bullet .

OT: no don't have any peicing nor tattoos . I find them to be incredibly disgusting . Most are tasteless or stupid . In my opinion anyways . Only rarely do i see a tattoo and go WOW. Then again i have yet to see a person that looks better with a drawing on them . That shit is permanent , and i can't take an old person seriously if they have a tattoo .

As for peircing , apart from earing , i find them to be completly useless . Mostly worn by hipsters, i have never met a serious person with piercings elsewhere than their ears .

Not for me , and i don't wanna date/sleep with anyone that has them .

I would be lying if I said I wouldn't get a tattoo like Kamina's on one arm if I had the chance.

Otherwise no, tattoos and piercings don't interest me.

I don't have any of either myself, and wouldn't want any because I just don't think I could pull them off.
Howwwwever, I do think that in the right ways, they're very attractive indeed. Just not on me. Does that make me a hypocrite?

I have two. A wolf on my right shoulder and a wheel of time symbol on my left. No piercings, I let them heal up a long time ago. Can't get a job with metal in your face.

I think women with tattoos are incredibly sexy. Piercings I'm more meh about. A small nose stud or labret on a woman can be enticing.

My wife has many ear piercings and a nose stud, and a couple of tattoos that I like to think are only for me.

I'm surprised by the amount of people who don't like them here. Must not be a thing for the generation after mine.

I don't have any. I'd never have piercings simply because I'm not a fan, but I'd consider a tattoo. If I got a tattoo it'd be a reference to something I'm nerdy for (Chains on the wrists of Bioshock's protagonist, for example.)
I don't have a problem with either, and I don't find either attractive.

I absolutely disdain anyone who has those big hole things for their ears. Not because they look fuckin' stupid, which they do, but because I was born without a right ear, and them ruining their perfectly good ears for misguided sense of fashion is just completely fuckin' insulting to me.

Normal piercings and tattoos generally don't do much for me either way, though some of the Suicide Girls I really like. I just can't say for sure if I wouldn't like them more without all the body art.
A guy with a tongue stud once gave me the most amazing blowjob I've ever had though... But again, can't say for sure if that was the stud, or he was just really really good at it.

It depends. In controlled doses, so to speak, I don't mind. Sometimes they can actually look pretty cool/badass.

However, if you're covered in tattoos or piercings, I find it tasteless and even uncomfortable to look at. Maybe that last part is intentional, but like someone above me said, don't complain when people judge you for it.

I think they're called gauges or something. Every time I see one, I want to tie their ear to something as punishment.

The most I have are pierced ears. Two on each lobe and one in the cartilage of my left ear. Funny thing is, I don't even wear jewelry. One set of lobe piercings were done when I was a baby. I had the second lobe set and the cartilage done when I was newly into my teens. However, as I got older, the less I cared about jewelry. I only really wear one hemp string necklace with my wedding ring on it, and I can't even remember to put that on every day. As for tattoos,...needles and something that is on me for life?..Eh , no thanks. My Father has enough for the both of us. Well, he has enough for the whole family really.

This guy intrigues me though:

They're not my thing, and I don't find them attractive or see the point in them.

Yeah, I've got two tattoos, one on each shoulder; the right sports a Hellspawn sigil, the left is adorned by a tribal dragon. I plan on getting a chaos star on my right lower thigh, but I don't know when yet...
As for piercings, never on myself. I have nothing against them on principle, I'm just chicken, and I don't think it'd look good on me anyway.
That said, everything in moderation. A bit of body modding can be very attractive on both ladies and gents, but plastering your entire body with ink and metal is a turn-off in my book.
