Invader Zim was such a weird show. I remember the first one I watched was the one with all the organs. Is there any question as to why I didn't watch that show for a while after?

But yeah, that episode was quite dark, especially considering it was MLP. Really showed the depth of Pinkie's character...

Johnny from Ed Edd n' Eddy. That boy had problems...many problems.
I remember, the fact he always had an imaginary friend that he spoke to usually didn't settle right with me.

Thats right, I just brought unicorns into a freakin' pony thread. Commence worldwide destruction.
You obviously have never watched the series.
I have actually, I just wasn't thinking when I posted and forgot that twilight sparkle and several others are unicrons.

I'll edit my post to say "...brought charlie the unicorn into..." to make everyone happy :p

.................................................................................................................... I still don't get it.
The main character is a unicorn... and is the default image on the youtube video you quoted (not charlie the other one)
I don't get it because I have no clue of whom Charlie the Unicorn is.

I love how many avatar that SINGLE episode has spawned X)

Yeah it was a fantastic episode. I love how they used her hair as a personification of her psyche. Before Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom "activated" her zanyness, she had the same hair.

Makes you think which Pinkie pie is the facade: Crazy haired, happy Pinkie Pie, or dark and gloomy, (some might say "original") pinkie pie....

Creepy, creepy food for thought....

Pretty much all the ponies have the potential to go completely insane, but not quite to the level reached by pinkie.

Also google 'Pinkie Pie Cupcakes Fanfic'

Did somebody say Cupcakes?

That was a particularly dark episode, but that's what made it so good.
>.> i have a passing knowledge of that fanfic, enough to know i shouldn't read it if i wanna be sleeping, which, for me, made that ep 10x creepier watching her lose it like that.

also

season finaly and Flutter Shy o.o;; that scared me a little

I remember that exact episode where he frames the Eds. I remember being pissed off at the ending.
I think you're talking about Jimmy. Johnny was the one with the plank, Jimmy had the braces.

Since Johnny 2X4 has already been mentioned I'm going to say Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures. She was clearly one rejection away from slaughtering the entire cast.
Damnation, you're right! It has been quite a spell since I saw that series, unfortunately. Still, Jimmy wasn't quite right at times as well. I also remember the interrogation scene one episode, when the Eds tortured Plank. It's quite creepy and really paints Eddy as despicable now that I'm an adult.

This episode depicting Pink Pie slowly slipping away into the depths of her own insanity sounds interesting. The character always came across to me as almost too upbeat; like there was some sinister stuff being suppressed beneath all the smiles and throwing of parties. Though, with "cupcakes" being my first introduction to the pink pony herself, that impression really isn't all that surprising.

Anyway, I would say that Fred from "Courage the Cowardly Dog" was pretty unstable. But then again, EVERYBODY in that show was wacko!

"I've been so... naughty!"

I can think of three meanings...

1: Pinky Pie makes cupcakes with Rainbow Dash images on them - 'Rainbow Dash Cupcakes'
2: Pinky Pie makes cupcakes for Rainbow Dash
3: Pinky Pie makes cupcakes... using Rainbow Dash...

*shudder*
"I'll choose option number 3."

DING DING DING We have a winner.

Ever heard of Dexter's Laboratory? During some of the early seasons about a decade ago there were some really disturbing moments... well disturbing when I look back on them with adult eyes. Dexter is a boy genius with an gigantic laboratory in his cupboard where he builds enormous machines and experiments. But his idiotic sister DeeDee constantly finds her way in there and destroys stuff for the fun of it.

The unusual thing about the series was the lack of continuity. In one episode Dexter snaps and joins his sister in her destructive ways, which scares DeeDee once everything he ever worked on is gone as well as his mind. When she cries and runs off, Dexter returns to normal, looks around his ruined life then calmly starts turning a single screw on his desk amongst the ruins of his work. The strange thing is the status quo is back to normal in the next episode so the last episode might as well not have happened. But it didn't matter because the writers didn't mind suspending disbelieve to make a statement about Dexter's mind and facing the consequences of his actions.

There are numerous other examples from that show but that's the one that stuck with me for over a decade.
I remember that!
fuckin deep shit to be exposed to when you're like 5... even then I just sat there like, "damn...."
that ranks up there with Action Hank and that one nearly silent episode featuring Mandark going into a depression because there's no one to destroy as one of the best moments of the series.

OT: speaking of MLP:FiM, ever watch The Best Night Ever?
...
holy shit... it's like some kinda psychological thriller... every time they cut back... she's lost more and more of her sanity...
(for tose who haven't seen it. go watch it now. it's the first time I genuinely laughed my ass off at MLP)
