Pirate Games?

Well I was playing sid meiers Pirates!, and I came to think about, what good games about the pirate theme is there?, and do we need more?

On-topic, I recommend Port Royale 2 (like SMP! but better) and Tropico 2: Pirate Cove.

Question, though: Is Pirates! good? I have never played any pirate themed game, and that one looked sort of interesting...

I would say Tropico 2 but sadly I never played, loved the first one though. The game won't install onto my PC which makes me sad :,(

Puzzle Pirates [http://www.puzzlepirates.com]. It's a very good Pirate themed MMORPG, it's free (provided you're willing to spend HOURS grinding for in-game currency to exchange), and terribly addictive.

Well you have Monkey island which is the best Pirate themed game ever!

Then PortRoyale is fun too. I think theres a MMO or something similar about Pirates.

Or you can get Empire:TW pick a random faction make lots of boats and raid every trade route there is. Its fun. ^^

You can make lots of boats in Empire and it's fun...until the naval crashbug kills your game.

You can make lots of boats in Empire and it's fun...until the naval crashbug kills your game.

I havent any naval bugs. I spent 40-50 turns playing with GB just raiding trade routes and blocking trade ports than..doing anything else. I was more Pirate than the Pirate faction.
