Alliteration!

I've been rewatching all the Pixar movies, from A Bug's Life to Wall-E except Cars. I didn't like it because it seemed really childish in comparison to all of their other stuff. Cars 2 was their worst scoring movie yet[footnote][a href"http://collider.com/pixar-numbers-toy-story-brave/2/]Link to a page entitled "Pixar by the Numbers"[/a][/footnote] and Brave failed to keep me interested throughout the movie.

The last 2 movies by this fantastic studio have been really disappointing to me and it feels like Pixar is slipping. That said, I'm going to be seeing their next movie no matter what happens.

Do you think Pixar can make up for their last couple of movies?

I quite enjoyed Brave. So no real need to make it up to me. I didn't see Cars 2, but I wasn't overly fond of the first one. The story was good, but the overexposure of the redneck truck really burned me on it before I even sat down to watch it.

ERMAGERD YOU GUYS THEY MADE 2 MEDIOCRE FILMS THE WORLD IS ENDING

seriously though...the thing is studios like pixar cant keep a 100% spotless track record in terms of quality all the time and people get all pretentios when they put out somthing that "may" not be up to their expectactions

that said I'm a litle annoyed they are doing a monsters inc prequel...monsters inc is my all time favorite pixar movie and I feel prequels on principle kind of suck

a bugs life is that one movie no one seems to remember, its not bad but it is an odd little movie, I liekd antz better

Cars 2 is the only Pixar film I've never seen. I (like most people) wasn't a fan of the first, and then reviews confirmed my suspicions that the second would also disappoint.
Brave, on the other hand, I enjoyed but not as much as I had hoped. Overall, it was just above mediocre, but I refused to believe Pixar was losing its touch. You can't be perfect all the time, you know?

But now I see a prequel to Monsters, Inc.
A prequel. To Monsters, Inc. Set in college.
Of all the movies, Pixar, why that one?? I dunno, maybe I'm just worried because I love Monsters, Inc. as a stand-alone film, but I've got a bad feeling this one is gonna disappoint as well. I'll still try to have faith in Pixar, though. They may be hitting a dry spell, but they're still great.

(But c'mon, MI gets a prequel yet we still don't have an Incredibles 2?)

Of course they can, I just hope they do. I want something relatively unique damn it! Another interesting "What if..." situation. I was quite surprised Disney was responsible for Wreck-It Ralph because the premise sounded like something Pixar would do.

'One swallow does not a summer make'. Two bad movies doesn't say anything about the future quality of pixar.
There, I fixed your post. Maybe someone who has one warning before he gets permabanned would lay a bit lower and use milder language? Just a tip.

And coincidently, I agree with you.

I didn't think it was that bad....I was just in an agressive mood at the time

Was it 'that bad'? No, not really. It was nothing at all. Was it enough for me to notice, and wonder how many warnings you had left? Yes. Can it be seen as breaking the CoC? Yeah. I'm just saying that since I don't want to see you banned, maybe you should play it safe.

I saw the first "Cars" film and didn't really like it.

After films like Up, Wall-E, The Incredibles and Toy Story 3, I just felt that in comparison, Cars just had no heart to it.

Maybe the lowER performance of the latest Pixar Movies critically should only be taken as a sign that you should not put one animation studio above others by default.

Then again, Pixar was never "spotless" to me because i don't like "A Bugs Life" and "Toy Story 1".

In the end, who cares either way, just because a Studio makes bad movies once in a while doesn't mean they also make good ones. Look at Dreamworks or Sony Animation...

...you know what, i don't even really understand what this thread is about.

You're lucky your mum is on this forum, or else you would be banned!

Pixar is the paragon is all that is leet, and will never make a bad movie. Look them up on Rottentomatoes.com to see.

Damn straight you will, and play nice with the other kids, or the collection of 'adult material' you think you have hidden so well will mysteriously disappear!

I have not seen the last two film yet but honestly it shouldn't be that suprising the the decline in the quality of their films.
In one of the documentries, they fear something called the Apple Mac effect. (I think?) It's mainly about the fear of trying to exceed the previous product/ show/ film or etc expectation. This happen with fearing that their second film A Buy Life will fail compared to Toy Story.
As we all know, their expectation has risen higher and higher until the last two films so the whole Apple Mac effect finally happened to the company.

As for them to bounce back up, we shall see.

Well personally I really liked Brave, so I'm not worried. I don't really know what it is about that film that people didn't like, I blame it on most of the characters being ginger (that's completely understandable).

Toy Story 3 was like the saddest film ever. However since I'm getting older all the time, I think gradually I'll find their films less entertaining. The original Toy Stories were films I watched so much as a child, hence the feels towards the series getting wrapped up.
DON'T YOU DARE MAKE A 4 PIXAR.

It's true a lot of artists start of great and slowly slip into nothing-interesting-ness, maybe it's Pixar's time. So to answer question: No, they have no chance, we must destroy them.

On the other hand, I was surprised how much I enjoyed Toy Story 3. I need to watch them all again to see which is my favourite.
