This guy gets it. Italians are just really good at making food.
And I tend to get pizza from take-aways, purely because they are dirt cheap. As far as quality/quantity/cost goes, I'd have take-out over restaurant pizza any day.

Honestly no big chain food company trying to maintain the level of mediocre consistency on all their foods worldwide can hold a candle to anything made with genuine passion. It's seems like a bloody ridiculous argument to me. If you are looking for a good burger you certainly don't go to McDonalds, and if you're looking for an excellent pizza you should probably hit up the 70 year old Italian woman who's shop is down the street from Dominos. Pizza Hut or Dominos, neither are good... and just feel I need to say that you can get great pizza anywhere in the world, because it's not about the locals or the product, but the people that prepare with care.

I am right and the rest of you are wrong. Dominoes is the only rational choice. It tastes better and they have tastier offers. But if you really want a pizza?

Just go buy one frozen from your local grocery. Chances are it will be done about 20 minutes earlier then the other pizza would be arriving by and it will save you insane amounts of money you can then spend on crisps and whatnot. Or customizing your pizza.

I imagine you look exactly like your avatar, and were swirling a glass of port as you typed that while resting your feet upon the back of a man servant. I'm sure Italian pizza is lovely, though; I mostly ate crab sandwiches when I was there.

OT: I love Dominoes but feel genuine guilt after eating one because it's about the most indulgent thing I can do without cocaine or getting my cock out.

From my experience I would class pizza as a 'comfort food'. That is to say when you eat it all those smells and tastes bring you warmth and joy and summon good feelings. From that perspective it's easy to see how people can be so venomous with how their pizza is made - screw it up and your basically shitting on all their good feelings and happy thoughts.

TO THAT END!!! The greatest pizza in aaaahhhhlllllll the world comes from my local Pizza joint Pepperoni's in Wishart, Brisbane, Queensland. These guys are true artisans in their trade who give a damn about you and your pizza. Just so damn good!

I generally don't care that much where the pizza comes from(unless it's Little Caesars, I loved it as a kid, but now it's kinda gross). I guess I might prefer Dominoes over Pizza Hut because of that whole new recipe thing, which I can't really taste in the actual pizza itself, but the bread tastes quite good now. I fucking hate their commercials though, theirs and FeBreeze's commercials. They are both the same vein of corny and horrific.

As for pizza itself, I don't like green/red/yellow pepper on my pizza, they just taste like crap and ruin the flavor of the pizza. I probably won't want to eat a pizza with those peppers on it, or if I do, then I will rip each of my slices apart to remove every last pepper.

Barbecue pizza is also a no go, even more-so than pepper. I find it to be pretty much the most abominable kind of pizza to have ever been spawned by humankind, and the mere sight of it offends my tastebuds./melodrama
My dad loves the stuff though, so my step-mom and I always get a pizza separate from his since neither of us like barbecue pizza.

I used to work in a pretty large Pizza Hut way back in 1997. It was a brand new, 150-seater, and we were all brand new staff. Started off as chaos and eventually became amazing. 4am finishes were a regular occurrence!

So I'm obviously biased! I still like Pizza Hut pizzas, even though I can pretty much guarantee I've eaten more of them than anyone here. But, they're not what they were. The thin crust Neopolitan bases from back then were a hell of a lot nicer than todays equivalent. But most importantly for me, they've improved the sauce for the stuffed crusts.

But really, the absolute best Pizzas I've ever eaten were in Toulouse (seafood, including baby octupus) and a street cafe in Nice (mussels, lots of mussels).

So, if I'm ordering in, Pizza Hut. If I'm eating out, look for the small place full of locals!

I am usually able to get great pizza in restaurants, but I couldn't agree more. The best pizza is my mom's home made. Perfect thickness on the crust, just the right amounts of cheese and sauce, just the right topping. Home made pizza is simply divine and I can't wait until summer when I will get to eat that again.

Alright, I'll bite. Where are you from and what's your major malfunction?

I'm Scandinavian. I dont eat that stuff because I dont want to poison my body with junkfood. I never ate it as a child/teenager either because it just didnt appeal to me, especially not greasy pizza's. I've never eaten hotdogs either btw. The diet in my family was based heavily on fish and white meat.

That's fair but you have to try it at least once in your life. A slice of pizza isn't going to ruin your body, particularly if you take good care of it through an already balanced diet and regular exercise.
