If you ever go to Perth In Western Australia go up north a bit and see the Mega-Pit its a giant Mine that is beyond belief
thats like what? at least a few hours? might as well go to broome after that :)

I find it a little funny that when speaking of attractions you sugest people skip the city all together and go see a big hole in the ground (an impressive hole I will admit)

anyway Perth is a nice city, but theres nothing particually notable about it, we have a bell tower though wooo! (and the ferris wheel, remember that? yeah totally worth $20-$30 dollars)

actually theres fremantle maratime museam..Aqua the auarium and such

we went on a school camp to Perth, which I found a little insulting like "oh us country bumpkins aint never seen the big city!" anyway it wasnt as good as the trip to kalgoorie

sorry there I go on a tangent
The Melbourne Ferris Wheel is tons better. Except, oh wait. They fucked it up and had to rebuild it. Melbourne fail!

Hm. Around here? Lessee...

Gongen mountain is fairly nice (especially in the autumn), and has a glacier that's quite pretty. River's not half bad either. Hisuikyou (literally "jade gorge") is good too and, yes, has some jade lying around, I believe. There's a ski resort in winter/some of spring, some fairly nice beaches, and plenty of mountains (with proper paths, yes) to walk around in. Good museum here, too (geological, mostly, lots of shiny rocks, fossils and whatnot). Oh, and to top it off, Joetsu, about 40 minutes from here, is pretty much the best city ever.

Why does this place have no tourists, again?

Should visit the Loch I guess, but get out by night because that's when the neds come out.

That is about it, it's the only reason people come here and I still don't see why.

I live in the finnish capital region. Lots of great beaches, and helsinki (world design capitol 2012) is one of the most beatiful cities i've ever seen. There are tons of landmarks. If your intrested in that sort of thing, Suomenlinna (direct translation would be finlands castle. Yeah i know, but it works in finnish) is a very historical and intresting place, also a world heritage cite. That and the helsinki cathedral are two places you MUST visit if your here. There's also the national museum. Not the best museum in the world but the building itself is beautiful. YOu can go visit the actual museum if you like but the building is more intresting (at least to me). ANd the house of parliament is pretty cool. I could go on but i won't.

There's definitely tons of intresting stores and such, but none i can name at the moment. Tons of huge stores you can get just about anything from.

Also if your just looking for some peace and quite rent a cabin at a lake beach. There are about 400.000 of them here (ok maybe a bit of an exaggeration). Relatively cheap. If you can, and if your going with someone, rent one with a pool table. When your not playing pool or just sitting outside trying to comprehend the beauty of the nature here, you can swim. There are also saunas. In every building.

And if you like to party, come here on Vappu. Second biggest holiday of the year here. Vast, vast amounts of alcohol are incolved.

Being from San Antonio TX, I would say you would have to visit during the month of May. During that time there is Fiesta, think Mardi Gras spread over a week and a half. Granted you'll have to come to downtown SA to enjoy it, but then again most tourists only visit downtown SA anyway. Also here in SA we have a Six Flags and a Sea World theme park here. ( To all US servicemen and women admittance is free for you and your families to Sea World here in SA with military IDs) Theres plenty of things to do here. For a city that bases its economy on tourism theres plenty to do here.

Dismantled it, and started building it again at the start of the year. Kind of embarrassing, considering how much they tried to hype it up.

Örebro, Sweden. We have a couple of old-school churches and a castle surrounded by a moat in the middle of the city.

I'll have to remember all that. One of my brothers who is in the Navy lives there and I could use that as an excuse to go down there.

it's Berlin so pick up a travel guide or something.
i DO have some things you should do, just for the lolz.
If you are a dark skinned bearded man keep circling the Reichstag for half an hour and take lots of pictures, when the police start questioning you scream of racism.
Draw a penis on one of the left over bits of the wall.
if you speak German chat up your bus driver, those guys have short fuses and get annoyed easily.

Not a problem my friend. SA prides itself on hospitality. Having been born and raised here ( I did a stint in the Army and returned after it was done), I love being able to show off my hometown to people. I like to think of it as a bigger city but with a small town feel. Most people around here are pretty damn friendly ( unless you're trying to open a restaurant here, allegedly this is one of the hardest towns to do that in). Granted every town has its assholes, but just ignore em and you'll get a good taste of South Texan hospitality brother/sister!

Also for you history buffs we have several of the old missions here in SA. Hell even the Alamo is still intact. Well, the church and the main barracks and inner walls are anyway. If I remember right we have 5 of the old Spanish missions here. I wanna say that for 40 bucks you can see all of the missions here in SA on a bus tour and have a wine tasting at a villa up in the hill country. (I live in the hill country and let me tell ya, its pretty as hell. Don't come after May though, its hotter than hell til October. Drought time round then.)

Here in Winnipeg, Manitoba? I'm not entirely sure what most people would want to see aside from maybe performances and hockey games at the MTS Centre (we have an NHL team now so there's always that). I'm more of the type of person who likes going to museums and places with historical significance, so I'm clueless as far as nightlife goes.

Though, I guess there's always Folklorama if you're into cultures and things like that. We also have the human rights museum...which is under construction.

But there's one thing people must not do. Do not come during the winter, we don't have the nickname Winterpeg without reason. It gets very cold and very windy and very cloudy.

Congrats on getting the Jets back
Thank you very much, people here are pretty much in a celebratory frenzy over it. Now we're just waiting to hear if the team is actually going to be called the Jets or something else. (Unless something has changed regarding that since I read yesterday's newspaper.)

If someone visited the Margaret River/Augusta shire district, the best place for them to go is back home. There is nothing here. Except vineyards.
