I've flown quite a bit. To states between Texas and Maine, across the ocean to Korea and back, to Britain, to Germany, all the way to Iraq. And that's not counting my repeat trips and my rides in Hercules and Chinooks and Blackhawks.

By the way - I love flying. Especially the rough stuff.

I've been on a plane a few times, not very frequently though. I don't mind it, unless it's rough.
I would actually like to try flying lessons, but I'm waaaay too poor to be able to afford. >.>

Love flying. I got my private license back in '07. Unfortunately I haven't been the pilot in command since I got out of flight school. Tis an expensive hobby. The 7339 in my name was part of the tail number of the plane I trained in.

Are you talking about being a passenger on an ordinary commercial flight? How could anyone enjoy that? It sucks so much shit. You have to sit on your ass for hours on end. It's boring, uncomfortable, my ears always get painfully blocked, and for the vast majority of the flight there's nothing to see out the window. Sometimes there's enough turbulence to give me hope that I'm about to plummet to my gruesome and premature death, but nothing ever happens and it goes back to being boring as hell.

I mean, sure, the science behind it is amazing and all, just like with most advancements in technology, but I can admire that from outside a plane. The actual experience of the average flight is thoroughly underwhelming.

I got struck by lightning on my way back from canada once, I had the seat beside the wing, and it kinda hit the plane, then kept going, thankfully there was no instrument failure or anything so we didn't have to go back.
As for flying planes I've done a fair bit through CCF RAF section about 20 or so hours in a glider, and maybe 10 in a two seat tutor, I've landed and taxied and flown solo in the glider :)

Absolutely fucking hate it. Grew up on an island, so all vacations were by plane. Used to be, back in the shit old days, planes had a smoking section. My mother's a chain smoker, so I had to spend 12 hours in an area grey with smoke; desperately trying to breathe in what was effectively a gas chamber. Very effective way to make a person hate something for the rest of their goddamned life. Didn't help that we never went anywhere less than 10 hours by plane and my parents insisted I stay seated. So, basically, my expierience with planes can be summed up in 3 words: smoke, shit and boredom. The shit having to do with the inevitable stench of diapers whenever you're on a long flight.

I travel by train or bus or any-fucking-thing else now that I live in Europe and I would rather take a bullet to the dick than become a pilot myself.

I don't know... I've probably flown 10-16 times. I have also flown in a glider once when I was quite a bit younger.

I would like to get a private pilot's license someday as a matter of fact.
Stick to flying spaceships, more fun ;-)
While I would love to fly in space... I am not sure how to stick to something I have never done.

I've flown about a dozen times when I really think about it.

I'm not really a fan of it, I can't really relax on a flight, and it bores me to death if I'm on a long one. I will fly if I have to, otherwise I prefer to drive, much more relaxing.

I've flown quite a few times, and while I DO get unnerved by the obvious fears, I'm somewhat comforted by the fact I'm WAAAY more likely to be hit by a car than be in an aircraft accident.
i really hope you dont get into both at once...
OT: ive flown a few times. after i got past the deafness it was fine.

my job REQUIRES me to travel constantly, as a matter of fact staying home for 2 weeks is the same as a vacation to me, I used to love it at first but now the constant travel makes it quite boring and tedious plus handhelds and pc is the only gaming I can do now, my PS3 & Wii just gather dust back home.
basically enjoy flying but don't work/live for it as its quite boring about the same as driving a car. When its brand new its awesome after 3 years its just a car

I've flown like, a lot, over 30 times, and I'm just 15.
So I'm pretty used to it, thou I'm afraid to use the toilet on a plane because I think that the floor will open up and I'll fall out(I saw it in a movie dammit!).
Flying long distances is quite horrible thou... Luckily I can fly in business class for free, because my dad works in an airport.

Even after suffering numerous 24 hour flights to New Zealand, I still love flying. I love the power of the modern jets, takeoffs, landings, turbulence, crosswind landings. I'm a bit of a plane geek to be honest. Airports are one of my favourite parts of any holiday!

One of the best moments was the sideways landing with a nearly broken nosegear in a heavy storm at Luton years ago. When stewardesses turn white and people at the front scream, you know it's a good one!!

I've flown a few times in cesnas, Piper Tomahawks and gliders. I also have hundreds of simulator hours. If it ever came to it and a call was put out on a flight I was on, asking if anyone can land a plane, I'd be the first guy to raise his hand!

I've only flown a couple of times. Last time was about 10 months ago when I moved from Michigan to Colorado. Flying back to Michigan this summer for a friend's wedding, and I'm looking forward to it. Airports are always fun, too. I shook hands with Steve Buscemi at the airport in Denver, and I saw Arnel Pineda at the airport in Indianapolis when I was flying to Florida a couple years back. Lots of interesting people at airports.

I've only flown four times, but I hated every single flight.

I have this fear of not being on solid ground, and so when I'm 35,000 feet in the air, I get really uncomfortable, upset, and of course, frightened. I also get stomache aches and head aches, I get dizzy, and I shake a lot, so I don't enjoy the experience all too much.

And the people drive me nuts. -_-'

I'm a pilot. I've got something like 200~ hours and a private pilots license for both singles and twins; plus complex/high performance sign offs.

Additionally, I fly on airlines very often because my dad works for one (he is not a pilot though.) For me, it's cheaper than driving if I'm going more than 80 miles anywhere.

Currently I'm in the process of submitting a packet to the US Army to fly helicopters as a warrant officer.

So, I guess you could say that I'm rather familiar with aviation. I will say, that back when I was flying aerobatics, I had the time of my life. Going up a couple times a week and doing spins, rolls, loops, hammerheads, etc. is some kind of fun. It's also incredibly rewarding when you do them very well (like looping and coming to pitch level at the exact altitude you started at.)

Flying absolutely kills my ears. And, oddly, my jaw, since it got busted up in Russia.

Other than that, convenient. And sometimes cheap.
