how do we get one the mumble server. every time i try i get refused.

any help?
I'll bet you're having the same problem I did- if you copy/pasted from a forum post, make sure there are NO SPACES before or after the address when you enter it into Mumble. It kept me from getting in for two days. Hope to see you on!

I was just as surprised as you. But it's still fun, good times.

Guess who brought down a Galaxy Gunship? Utterly gobsmacked.

You brought down a Gal in a Mosq?

Jesus Christ, I want in. These guys must be easy as cake if you can take down a Gal in a Mosq. No offense, but a competent Gal pilot would just slam the burners and head for the roof so the tail gunner can cap you.

On the plus side, either RPS or BoingBoing has some epic fail in their midst.

I feel obliged to point out a few things at this point. Firstly, was nowhere near as stylish as just a mossie, I was in a wasp. Secondly, it was a Gal Gunship (try to regain my image after that admission). Thirdly, it was zero feeting it and already slightly damaged (there it goes again).

I was lucky more than anything, not that I'd complain.

No kidding, I wouldn't complain about a Mosq (Wasp?) taking down a Gal. I've been out of the loop for too long, is a Wasp a combat oriented Mosquito? And is there a Gal gunship variant now? Normally they just have those two side cannons and the tailgun; Ao1 (my outfit) did some experimenting with Galaxy gunships, but we found that a couple of competent Reaver pilots on the side were much more effective.

Yeah, the wasp was introduced maybe two years ago as a mosquito with an air-to-air configuration (AA missiles, chaingun, bigger afterburner, less armour) and there is indeed now a gunship variant of the galaxy. Introduced maybe half a year ago (I'm shocking with time, by the way) it packs three high-calibre chain guns and two ground-pounders (the same things that are on the TR combat buggy), as well as shitloads more armour.

I would also like to add that Gremlin's screenshot is entirely photoshopped and the gunship was actually taken down by me throwing rocks at it. I will, however, give him credit for being the first person ever to encourage a tank to fly. See below:

I find it funny that it's taken more than a week for some people to even realize they won.

And a little bit depressing.

Wait, so does this game cost money? It's saying I need an activation code, or I can do a 14 day trial.

While we're insulting Docan's flying, lets mock my driving skills:

Yes, that is well and truly stuck, had to walk back to a base for another one.

More from Ringwraith's School of How Not to Drive ATVs coming soon!

Wow. I didn't realise I got quite that much air. AND it still didn't give me an insane stunt bonus, dammit.

What is the insane stunt bonus anyway? I've almost destroyed a basilisk going over a cliff and not got anything.

Heh, it's something you used to get on GTA if you drove a car off a cliff or something. It's become a running joke since Doan accused me of trying to get one when I was following them around in a lightning.

Oh, GTA Insane Stunt Bonus?
I would of got it long ago if PS had it, from my jump causing 50% damage.
I'm always trying to get one in that case, I'm always in my jeep of DEATH when I play Battlefield 1942.

Yeah, we need to get a proper photo shoot going next time we're on Searhus. The jumps there are unbelievable...

Hehe and now we're even, 'cause you got my name wrong too. =P

Sticking with my tradition of adding a screenshot to every post, here's one of me valiantly cowering behind a rock:

(That explosion comes from one of the two magriders shooting at me in the distance...)

Heh. Playin yesterday, I spawned at a AMS. When I spawned, I found my self flying into the air. I flew about 5 feet south and about 25 feet in the air. I wasnt quick enough on my xfire video bind to get it recorded, but needless to say I was a little confused when I hit the ground.
