What new games have you played lately that you would recommend to others. And why?

Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires. If you're a fan of the series, it's gold. If you've never played any of the other games, this one is awesome to try, but I'd probably recommend Warriors Orochi instead. Doesn't have as much 'extras' to frustrate you with.

Overlord II. It's fun being evil and being able to command your minions to pillage everything. Better than the first in my opinion.

Mario Strikers. Not as new as the others, but my roomate picked it up for dirt cheap at Blockbuster. Controls are a bit frustrating at times and sometimes the AI does things that don't make sense, but overall it's fun. And that's what counts.

I recently became addicted to Solitaire on my iPod, as I was away from a computer/any video gaming source, and it was the only game I could bare to play on my iPod. But its strangely addictive, I find my self repulsed by the game, but I still really want to play it... Its a love hate relationship.

I finally beat Metroid Prime. That was both satisfying and fun. Also I picked up Oblivion and Fallout 3 again.

Ah yes it is. Except for the monkey cave. But aside from that, the game is golden.

Did they fix that horrible glitch in the BETA yet? I can't even play the game while that glitch exists.

Team Fortress 2: This is easily the best online FPS I've ever played. All gamers should give it a try.

I can't think of anything else right now.

I suck at finding stuff, so I could never do that.

Last game I played was Halo Wars.

It's a fun, solid game with plenty of variety and "coolness." I would urge RTS fans to not approach this game like they would other RTS's though, for one you really should play the tutorial. It's a game that really deserves to be given a "third" chance to impress. My brother just thought it was OK, but one day he and I were playing it online and achieved an epic victory through coordination and he looked at me to say: "this game is awesome." In the month since he has played little but Halo Wars.

EDIT:

I must have played that game 20 times, at least 10 of those carefully following a strategy guide attempting to get 100%. I never did, I don't know how but I always miss 1 facking missile expansion! Fracking incomplete guide.

I would be playing INFAMOUS and RED FACTION if my PS3 was'nt out being replaced. Pretty darn good games. Oh and I'm also playing the free trail of WOW, but that's a snooze-fest.

The Last Remnant PC is actually a much better game than I expected it to be, given the 360 version's reviews. It's probably the best "SaGa" game ever made--ironic considering it's not actually a SaGa game, just made by the same team and with a similar character development scheme.

It's like all of a sudden they gave up on the artsy angle and just decided to make a darned good game.

I hope you're playing it on the SNES and not by some other means. Earthbound has some infamous anti-piracy measures built into the last boss fight.

But yes, the game never got the love it deserved back in the day.

Halo Wars is pretty sweet. They did a decent job with the RTS problem on consoles. Its not perfect but still really fun and it doesnt take long to get a hang of the controls.
