Play Town of Salem? Give me your tips/strategies and stories!

I don't know if this is logistically possible, but it would be neat to have an option to select something like "simple role" or "complex role" when you sign up for a game. Maybe only for the first few games for each player. Simple roles would be things like doctor, anyone can figure out how to do that. That's not to say there are no interesting choices, but it's a simple process...pick a person to keep alive.

That way you don't have newbies suffering through playing something like the Transporter or Retributionist.

Looked it up when i saw this thread.

LOVED it. Man, i remember playing this game... like 15 or more years ago at a party. (Well it was one witch, and a werewolf or something against the town)

First game i was serial killer and won easily. (Well, after that i hadn't have much luck and lost a bit more than i won, but you can always blame your team *g*)

Also i like the style and the community seems pretty fun (They do scream at mistakes, but not really toxic, most seem to be there for a fun game, not to win at all costs)

So yeah, i am playing this game from now on for a bit, i guess.

One strategy I've been trying is that if I'm a mafia who gets lynched I'll wait until medium dies and go 'well now mediums dead I can tell you guys who mafia is!' And then lie, hoping the medium thinks I don't realise they can send 1 message from the grave.

Or I might pretend I'm mad at my fellow mafia for voting to lynch me and tell the medium I'm reporting the mafia guys for being abusive to me in mafia chat, then list some random townies and say 'lynch them I don't even care anymore!'
