While I can't argue too much I do have to disagree with your outlook on a good team making a player. Your team mates play a big part in how well the round plays out. If you have a good team watching your back and assisting with objectives then you have less problem with someone sneaking up behind, flanking or otherwise ruining your day with a knife to your arse. Like wise if you have a bad team then it seems as if it has become a 1 vs 20 match which leaves you getting your arse handed to you... well 1 out of each 20 conflicts.

I do agree that weak players blame anything but themselves when the game goes bad but there is some truth in a good team boosting your own ability. I have personally noticed that I do better with a team I can trust to hold their own then one filled with morons whom stand in the open while taking a piss.

I'm horrible at competitive multiplayer games (such as Modern Warfare 2) but I'm fairly decent at cooperative multiplayer games (such as Left 4 Dead).

After years of playing and the massive amount of hours I've enjoyed playing Counter-Strike, beginning from CS 1.3 to the CS:S of today; it's only natural I'm as good as I am. Happily there's always some better players for a healthy challenge.

I hate those kids who blame others and the awful team or whatever. hud_saytext_time 0 is a much needed friend for certain servers. The damn kids are simply frustrating. They can enjoy the game all they like for my part, but they should keep their mouths shut if there's nothing wise to say.

I have a friend who, when we play Halo 3 split-screen always says "What the hell!? This friggin' (insert weapon here) is retarded you were supposed to die" (ignoring the fact that every gun is the same for every person, i.e. if you pick up a shotgun it doesn't start shooting shredded peas)

I openly admit I am usually terrible at shooters.

PC elitism, anyone?
Well if it's true...
Tell me one thing that a 360 can do that the PC can't do better.
One thing.

Less expensive.

And that is more than 3/4ths the battle.

So... Yeah. Also, preference.
I guarantee it's not less expensive when Microsoft drops support and forces you into buying ANOTHER console, meanwhile my PC is playing the same games the whole time.

I'm a veteran Q3 player, and any arrogant player gets on my nerves, good or bad. In Q3 you know there's ALWAYS someone better than you even if you're on the top of the scoreboard. Those same arrogant players also tend to be the ones who ragequit when things don't go their way. It's satisfying to be the cause of their rage.

A Touche is in order.

You make a good point.

Still, you could be a tad nicer, but to each his own on what he thinks is best. I prefer consoles (But still dabble into PC gaming).
