I swear Micro$oft said that people that do this well have teir gamertag read as Cheater McCheat and have their acheivements stripped. Or matbe not for this. I don't really follow Micro$oft news...
Little harsh mocking a company for wanting people not to do something which is technically illegal, and could in some ways lead to them losing money...

OT: That's probably the reason. If you unlock another achievement after the 'street date' I reckon they'll show up.
I'm not mocking them. o_O I read wht I posted above on the Escapist IDK if it was exactly like I typed it but like I said before I don't really follow M$.

Probably not a great idea to advertise the fact that you've played a game before it's release date.

On to more pressing matters: How the fuck did K&L 2 get a 9/10 from OXM and (from the same reviewer I believe) Mafia 2 got a 7/10?!
It's a great game. The art direction is the most creative i've ever seen in a video game, and the game actually plays as though you are the two most wanted men in Shanghai. I've seen a lot of people complain about the cover system and accuracy... but it all adds to the effect.

As far as i'm concerened it is the fourth best game of the year so far. After Mass Effect 2, Transformers: War for Cybertron and Metro 2033.

Wow, all the Left 4 Dead 2 achievements? Nice going. What? Topic? Oh, right...

Is your gamerscore going up when you get these achievements, or is it just full on ignoring them?
I can't think of any solution. Maybe wait until an update and hope for the best?
Thanks.

My gamerscore is going up, so the achievements are obviously registering, but i just can't view which ones i have picked up on the game.

Well, you're about the third person I've seen say that. But versus everyone else you just seem to be those 3 exceptions.

The less people in a crowd, the smarter it's likely to be.

That analogy doesn't work.

Well, I can't say I know a whole lot on the issue, but from what I've heard, the game companies take playing a game before the street date pretty seriously. I've heard of a few stories of accounts being deleted and whatnot, though I can't really confirm those.

All I do know is that your girlfriend should really be careful about giving a game out early. Stores like Gamestop really regulate that, and I've seen more than a few employees in the store near me get sacked for selling a game before release. Just saying...

When I pre-order a game from GAME, I ALWAYS get it a day before it comes out. It's great, but apparently Microsoft are trying to crack down on it, so if you get a game early, play it while disconnected to XBL so they don't know.

I had no problems with that when I got my copy of Mass Effect 2 a day early, God I loved Canada Post for screwing that one up

Can playing games early get you banned?
Yup, unless your a game tester. If you Pirate games, you can also get sued. My buddy got Gears 2, a whole 3 months early and he got perma ban.

I've gotten plenty of games early and played them before release date on both Ps3 and 360 and trophies and achievements have always registered lol I dunno, they have always been JRPGs but still
