this wasn't a jab to MS, but a knee-shattering kick.

it seems the PS4 is giving more value for a smaller price.

Ey! Ey Microsoft! Do you feel it?

Do you feel the BURN?!

Catchpa: It happens.

Apparently they do feel the burn.

Add Marcus Beer (Annoyed Gamer) and Mr Pachter to that list, Pachter in particular because of his tendency to look at it purely from a business perspective.

I'm not sure the PS+ subscription is a good idea (although Pachter called it months ago, he got something right!!!), but on the other hand a lot of 'free' stuff is attached to it so it's much better than XBL and it's pay for crap your PC does free line.

So lets break it down:
no DRM, trading discs as much as i want,
not needing to phone home to actually play my games,
more exclusive games (especially counting the pc, as a pc gamer that's a biggie for me, i wont forget you M$ for each timne you announce an "exclusive" but it actually also comes out on pc! not that sony has ever done taht... ;) )
more diverse exclusive games,
psn needed to play online, bummer, but they give discounts and a free game per month, honestly if i had
a ps3 i would have done that unasked, the free game alone would have sold it, still bad that its now requiered for something I consider to be a fundamental feature
costs 100 euros less,
and they have the bloody balls to take a chance and make a video directly punching their competitor in the groin for the mistakes they made,
and it turns out to be actually funny ^^

if I ever have the money to afford a TV AND a console, I will choose you ps4 as the little companion piece for my pc :)

edit: oh an d no region locking just for good measure, which also, as a european and often getting screwed over this, is a big thing for me

I've never gone back to back generations with the same company, and it looks like I'll be switching again. Had a 360 and still love the thing but my PS4 is already on the horizon. Sony learned from the mistakes it made last generation and has won me over. It's too bad too, I was super-hyped that MS might improve on the 360 formula, instead they took a crap all over it.

I usually don't like such direct confrontational stuff like this, but in this case it is amazing to see a company like Sony realize how important it was for gamers that the industry doesn't go the way that Microsoft wants it to. I want to feel kinda bad for Microsoft, but they were way too overconfident to try and change the industry in such a way.

As a side note, I can only assume there is no backwards compatibility though, or Jack Tretton probably would have said it was a feature while he was listing off the all the goodies near the end right?

Sony took a whole generation to figure out how and what people wanted and now are just having fun... poor poor microsoft. Never owned an xbox at this point never will.

I jumped ship from the PS2 after KOTOR came out, with the hopes that the Xbox would be the answer. Of course I had my Nintendo to play when I was bored, but Xbone has officially killed it for me; I'm not buying that console. While there seems like there might be some promise, sharing games, some of the exclusives, and none of the digital harassment that Microsoft is causing has lead me back to the PS4. Kind of liberating actually. Although I did like hearing the free downloadable games for Xbox Gold subscribers...just too little too late.

Predictable, but beautiful.
I wasn't even considering a PS4 (I haven't had a PS since the original console, and that was when I still lived with the parental units and they bought what my brother asked for). Now, however- well, that is all good news. I'll see if the games line-up actually appeals to me enough to buy it; but it's now a "definitely maybe". Whereas the Xbone is a "definitely not".

But who knows, maybe MS will wise up to everything they've done wrong and start re-thinking some things. It's... possible, right? Maybe? Ahh, who am I kidding, I'm still going to invest in a decent gaming PC.

Clearly I am way too paranoid but I don't like the way that guy 1 didn't let go of the game when he gave it to guy 2. WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? :)

Hit the weak point for massive damage!

Seriously Microsoft, you hung a big enough kick-me sign on your back, you had to see this coming. Awesome.

The ironic part is - With Microsoft, you actually need a step by-step-guide on how you can trade games with each other.

Wow. Guess we can call it. PS4 wins the next generation. At this point without the always online, little camera watching you, fees for just about everything, Sony has beat Microsoft senseless. And a cheaper price, too! I've never been overly loyal to my 360 - I get games I want to play and it just happens most were on the 360. But next gen, I'm going PS4. No doubt now.

The sad thing is, I'm expecting way more Xbone sales than there should be after all this asshattery and douchebaggery. Some fanboys will never give up, no matter how much common sense tells them to leave. It's like they're abused partners in a relationship who refuse to give up on their true love. "Microsoft will turn it around! They just need more love...!"

Ladies and gentlemen I have just recovered brand new never before seen E3 footage which depict's a brutal smackdown of the Xbone by the PS4 here it is folks live from the studio thanks to our trusty reporter's:
As you can clearly see the Xbone is taking a pummelling as the PS4 is holding nothing back,Can the Xbone possible recover from this devastating attack or has Sony won this round.
In this commentators humble opinion the answer is obvious.
Tune as we receive more information on what is becoming known as gaming consoles wars most violent ownage ever.
