I suddenly want to play all of these games again.

Okay I was about to recommend most of these games... one thing caught my eye though.

theme hostpital was on the playstation? That's pretty cool acctually... but I doubt it would have been as good as the PC version. (I was compelled to say that... sorry)

I would recommend Yu Gi Oh Forbidden Memories for the PS1. Best Yu Gi Oh game ever. Probably the simplest one but defiantly the est.

Get both GOW collections, they are in HD and have every game in the series (the PSP ones are filler between GOW and GOW2 and then GOW2 and GOW3.

damn.. can't remember most of them but these ones kept my attention for some time..

I can't give much more of an advice because I don't own a PS3.. And its been a long time since I played my old PS2 and PSX..

They are the best...until they take a sudden cheesy left turn into a bad X-Files episode at the start of the third act.

I hope the third games leaves out the supernatural crap. The game is so much better when it's man vs man.

Devil May Cry 1, 3 and 4 and Bayonetta are extremely good fun if you're into that kind of thing which you should be if you like God of War.

I'd suggest getting Dark Souls as well as/instead of Demon's Souls, it plays better than its predecessor in virtually every way at least in my opinion.

Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call/Nocturne (EU/US name) is a great game belonging to the series the Persona games are a spin-off of.

Dead Space 1 and 2 are good for some cheesy B-movie type horror fun in space.

Prince of Persia 1-3 (Though there is the HD collection)

Devil May Cry 1-3 (Yes I enjoy number 2)

APE ESCAPE 1-2, but especially 1
Medievil 1-2

All of .hack// and if you live in the NTSC area, all of .hack//G.U.
There are more, but I can't be bothered listing them, and I left PS3 out on purpose, because I wanted to just trim down choices.

Don't have a PS3 but if Castle Crashers is just as good as it is on the Xbox 360, get that! Provided you have friends to play with.

Persona 3 FES/4.Don't bother with 1/2 on the PS1 they're expensive and have pretty horrid translations.

Wild Arms 2/3,great Wild West style JRPGs with some cool unique mechanics and great puzzles.

Tales of the Abyss,great real time combat and probably one of the better Tales of stories.

.hack 1-4,much better than sitting through it's anime counterpart.hack//Sign.

Beautiful Joe 1/2 and God Hand, both are funny goofy beat em ups.The former playing with movie tropes,the latter just being as silly and over the top as possible.

I'd like to recommend a few that haven't been mentioned yet.

Fear Effect and Fear Effect 2. They're 3rd person action/adventure games in the sci-fi/horror genre, with cel-shaded graphics, and writing and voice acting that is way better than the norm for the PS1 era.

Deathtrap Dungeon. A huge (40 level) hack and slash action/adventure game.

Disruptor. Insomniac's first game. It's a Doom clone first-person shooter but with very nice visuals (for the tech) and psionic weapons as well as big guns.
