I remember playing many JRPGS as a kid. It wasn't until I got a Playstation one, that I started playing alot more. One of them which today still is my favourite JRPG of all time is Suikoden.

Suiko...What? You may be thinking.

Well Suikoden for me was my first JRPG that totally grabbed my attention and threw me into some bizarre world where magic and dragons existed.

Now I've played Suikoden about 30 times throughout the years. I remember all 108 stars of destiny and where to get them.

The story was amazing, the characters were interesting and I actually cared about them unlike later games and the battle scenes...epic.

Anyway what I'm asking is what Playstation one game was your favourite and do you consider it a classic masterpiece?

There's plenty of favorites in the PS1 library. There's Hogs of War, Tenchu 2, Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy IX and many others. Though Tenchu 2, RE2 and MGS are true classic masterpieces.

Chrono Cross was my favorite PS1 game, and I do consider it a classic. When a ten-year-old JRPG plays better than the vast majority of the modern stuff, I think that justifies a classic game.

Medal of Honor, it was about as advanced as WW2 FPS's were likely to get back then.

I even had three gold stars in every mission.

All the crash bandicoot games, the spyro games... man, good times.

They were fun, unique, and filled with character.

I also remember RAMPAGE! Its where you controled an ape and some other animals and just destroyed cities on a 2-D plane.

T'was one of the best multiplayer games ever...

Well... there are a few.
There was Future Cop L.A.P.D. - Probably my first ever multiplayer game (maybe not, but I can't remember. Fun as hell though, I miss playing it... played it to death with my dad, and thus started my time as a gamer. I kicked his ass on versus. hehehe.
Also, there was Shadow Gunner. I didn't play it so much, but it was brilliant to watch my dad play it, and making plans with him as to how to beat the enemies. Ah, good times...
and, of course, FFVII, as no doubt other people will say.

Ahh man how could I miss those!

I remember one of the most brutal games I played on my PS1 was loaded and its sequel Re-Loaded. I loved those games, so much fun with two players and so much blood!

I never owned a PS1 (or PS2 for that matter), but I always liked to play the Oddworld games. Also Skullmonkeys is a classic in my opinion for how strange it was for the time period.

Broken Helix. Underrated classic. The storyline didn't make a lick of sense. But you played a character voiced by Bruce Campbell (Fuck Yeah!) Blasting your way through a base, while being chased by a squad of incompetent commandos led by an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator.
