I don't watch tv, but I guess humor, or weirdly ironic would be better as most mainstream humor is on the level of slipping on banana peels, ie dumb for the masses

I haven't watched tv in 5 years.

no, I can't listen to any music ever featured in an ad because becomes tainted by said ad

In the middle of a show? I would say no despite only watching occasional shows via itunes (so I can avoid commercials). It would take me out of the atmosphere if the characters are like Yum this sure is some good tea. I actually buy the competitor's product if I find the commercial really annoying when I did watch TV years ago.

surreal David Lynch style, depictions of real life in commercials is boring as I find most real life people to be boring.
