Please help me to identify the source

Hello

I have that picture/situation stuck in my head that I can't remember the source of it. Could be a book, comic, TRPG, videogame, cartoon, maybe even a movie. There are two tribes: one is aboveground dwellers (possibly winged) and another one is underwater; both either hostile to each other or at least very mistrusting; both tribes have some health/degrading problems with children. There is some kind of prophecy involved and I think one part of it is to get some kind of magical spear.
Anyway, the protagonist (he or she) arrives and through following the prophecy (which is actually somewhat of self-fulfilling variety of instructions) brokers peace between both tribes which also solves their health problems because both tribes share the common ancestry and somewhat symbiotic with each other.

Can anybody direct me to the source, please?

Ok thats probably not what you mean but thats also the plot of an episode of the series Andromeda... sort of, the whole health problem of 2 people is pretty much the same
