Hello All!

I am pretty bored and need help deciding which video game to play.
Ive pretty much ran threw everything in my library and for the life of me cannot think of a game i want to play.

I love first person shooters, but not a huge fan of the online multiplayer (so no cod, battlefield, cs)
Im also venturing into the RPG world (Dragon Ages, Witcher, TES, Dark Souls)

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I plan on eventually buying Divinity Original Sin [http://www.divinityoriginalsin.com/]. It's turn-based, but the news surrounding it is overwhelmingly positive. It's on GOG [http://www.gog.com/game/divinity_original_sin] and Steam.

I do remember people here talking about it, but I found it again after visiting some random site that was listing the best co-op games, which Divinity apparently does extremely well. Shame though how the site didn't mention any of the Saints Row games, which have 2-player co-op built in from the ground up. I see you have Saints Row 4, but not 2 or 3. I highly recommend those as well, which are even better with a friend.[footnote]And definitely not with random asshats with cheats turned on, including all cars and infinite health[/footnote]

If you haven't gotten DA:I, then get DA:I.

FPS/TPS:

Shadow Warrior: You wield a sword and shoot with guns. Excellent one-liners in the game and overall very entertaining.

I particularly liked Crysis and Crysis II, but never bought Crysis III before, but I must warn you that you can get a bug in Crysis where the final cutscene of the game doesn't happen, which leaves you feeling empty.

The Darkness 2/The Darkness is great. You do not need to know The Darkness at all to play or understand The Darkness 2. You wield guns and stuff, but you also have two tentacles that you can use do melee/use/toss stuff, and it has a great story.

I enjoyed the Dead Space series. It's I guess an action-horror where you upgrade and use mining equipment to kill critters. I liked the idea of shooting off limbs rather than doing headshots for bonus damage.

Fallout NV is a great open-worldy game, if you can get past all the bugs and stuff. Get the ultimate edition.

Borderlands 2 is a decent game, put more fun when playing with others. I recommend going straight for the GoTY version instead of just getting the base game.

Other games:

Batman (Arkham city/Asylum) is a fun beat-them-up with gadgets stuff.

Devil May Cry 4 is a fun hack-n-slash. You may want to use a controller for that game. Getting it for PC is great because you can skip past the grindfest and use hacks to get all the abilities.

Divinity: Original Sin is a great rpg. Walking is a bit slow, and I think the devs got lazy at the end because in the last act, combat to story ratio approaches infinity.

Five Night's At Freddys for jump scares. Entertaining at parties.

Mark of the Ninja is a fun stealthy/killy stealth game.

I've had tons of fun with Sanctum and Sanctum 2. Even though it is online, all the missions are playable on a singleplayer mode. True, this sometimes make it harder, but not as hard as trying to communicate with your team what towers to build.

It's a tower defense/first person shooter. Aliens storm your core, because it's slowly filling the air with breathable air for humans and not so breathable air for the aliens. You build towers and walls to make the aliens take the longest possible route to your core, arm those towers with futuristic space weaponry to shoot at them while they pass by. You are also on the map, shooting away while backstrafing away from the oncoming horde, which is quite fun.

Weapons are futuristic but pack a satisfying impact and handle well. In Sanctum two, you can't choose weapons from the start but instead choose from a number of classes with slightly varying stats. Only minor point i'd have to mention is that the game makes you resource your towers and walls. In one of the biggest maps of the game, you get just enough towers to line the beeline route the aliens are going to take, making you switch mechanics instantly from strategising and planning to just plain gunning it. While that may seem like an interesting mechanic to make sure i strategise harder and manage my resources, it would have been more fun to have, say, more monsters and enough towers to populate the field with a maze.

Building mechanics are intuitive, point and click, nothing more. Needs nothing more. And upgrading towers can be really satisfying as you're seeing them pack more and more punch.
