Any game on Xbox 360.

One light shake of the controller and it says I disconnected.

So silly.

I lost connection right in the middle of a winning battle with Neo from Dark Souls. I cannot express the anger I felt with words, so this will have to do.

Some games are total cuntwagons and just won't fucking pause shit if your controller disconnects.

There's just no fucking excuse for that unless you happen to be a programmer with a blind, searing hate of all gamers and their kind.

Seriously.

Fuck that.

Usually when my controller disconnects, the game I'm playing would kindly stop and wait for me to reconnect it. :)

Not for all games however...

Probably the most recent example would be in TF2.

I play on a window you see, and occasionally, my mouse would click outside the window, leaving me completely helpless and at the mercy of any opponents that have me in their sights for the next two seconds.

I would switch to full-screen, but...

actually, why don't I switch to full screen?

In League of Legends

"Wow this is going to be a risky tower dive but I think I can get the kill and just about make it out safely"

*Some asshole "friend" calls me on Skype*

"AH FUCKING MINIMISATION! WHAT THE FU-You have been slain!"

"FUCK YOU DAVE!"

I was playing Fiora who is one of the best tower divers in the game once her ultimate is up as well. The best would be Tryndamere for his 5 seconds of not giving any shits whatsoever. I'm still not sure why he is never ever picked or banned in Ranked... There must be some flaw in his character design that I can't see. He could just solotop right? He has a heal so he has at least some sustain in a solo lane. I don't know...

Or you could not bother diving and play Riven. Just snipe those rudelords who think they're safe at that tower on low health.

<3 Riven

Alternatively you could play Karthus. Though he suffers from the problem of not being that good overall apart from his rageworthy ultimate. Buy boots first and, like Brand, you have countered his entire existance during the laning phase.

You can even simply sit in your minions and let him waste mana hitting you with the reduced damage Lay Wastes because he's hitting multiple targets. That's the way I understand it at least. You do that with any other Champion and they will harass the shit out of you rather effectively while still getting easy farm.

Oh and I won the one match of UMVC3 with my controller repeatedly disconnecting. That guy must have been really bad, nobody could do that if they were anywhere never competent...

HA!

So many online matches...one wrong bump or twitch of the finger on it and the battery pack likes to shift just enough that the controller shuts off.

I've been killed by so many nooblets who couldn't even use a sniper properly that way.

I was healing for a raid in WoW back in Wrath of the Lich King and my wireless keyboard went dead on me. I had my heals bout to keys so i couldn't heal, and my mic was set to a push-to-talk key so I couldn't say anything. I could only try and mouse click heals which didn't last long.

That happens sometimes but it's rarely too bad. What was a lot worse was when you accidently held down a button or direction on old controllers and you'd knock out the calibration. So your character would just be stuck running in a single direction even if you weren't touching the controller. That scared the everloving shit out of me when it first happened while I was playing Sonic on the megadrive. I figured it out eventually.
Can I just say that you have a really cool avatar..

I only play with a wired controller now because of this. Last time it happened to me was during a pretty tense NFS The Run online series, had a new car unlock at stake, had a slim grasp of 1st place overall in the standings and on the final race it cut out three times, each time as I was entering a bend. Was not a happy bunny.

He's what's known as a snowballer champion. Basically means if he gets a few kills early on or is allowed to farm then he can quickly become insanely powerful due his crit-based damage and the not-dying ultimate. The problem with him is it's relatively easy to shut him down with a well placed snare or stun, especially if you can face him when he tries to use his own snare. His heal is pitiful and requires rage, which means he has to hit minions to generate it. When he's doing that, he's open to get poked by the enemy champion which his heal won't outdo.

And Tryndamere who isn't fed kills early on, or worse, gets ganked and misses out on minion kills and lane exp, becomes utterly useless for the rest of the game.

You think? I just cropped it out of screen I took from Fallout 3. I mean, I like it but I wouldn't have thought it would have much external appeal.

Thanks, though. Yours is absolutely hilarious by the way.

For me it is usually battery related, that is the main reason I prefer corded controllers over battery pack/charge controllers.

The worst times it can happen to me is playing a FPS online. Uhg horrible. Not to mention that I never switch the battery until it is completely dead, so I get several battery disconnects until I finally get annoyed enough to change battery.
Im the same. When I first got my Xbox I bought a wired controller. Sadly the wires in the controller slowly died and I started getting diconnected with that.

I don't switch the batteries until they're completely dead. Especially as my controller keeps changing its mind on how much charge is actually lef tin the batteries.

I should invest in a charge pack really. Everytime batteries are on sale I stock up. Though when the controller does die during a multiplayer game I thne scramble around my room trying to find fresh ones as they seem to disappear when I need them.

Online one time when I was playing Halo. It was a CTF match and I had the flag. I was literally a second from hitting the place where we gain a point when my controller battery died. Everyone else on my team was dead, having sacrificed themselves to save me (It was also one of the best online matches to date). Then I was shot, tea-bagged and had the flag returned to the enemy base and our flag stolen while I searched for the TV remote to scavenge the batteries from. We lost the match (Because of my controller dying), but I've still got the saved film on my old HDD. It was brilliant.

Ehe and thanks, I saw it on a gif thread somewhere else and just thought it would look good =D

Spot on. Man that stealth suit was so ridiculously broken. It was basically a "lol, I win" button. Awesome fun, though.

Right so I'm a couple of kills off of a nuke on MW2, I see 2 guys basically together. I shoot the first one, kill him and move across to the second one and...controller disconnected.

My TV and Xbox 360 are both lucky I had a nice controller absorbing bed to throw my controller onto. It's also the reason that 1. I have a Play & Charge kit and 2. As soon as I see the controller do the whole "YOU'RE AT HALF CHARGE. NOTICE ME!" thing, the controller is plugged in as soon as possible.

Ah I see, like an AD version of Katarina. Kat gets fed and all your "oh just stun her and she's useless" logic goes out the window as she melts your face before you can touch her. I love Katarina. She's so fucking cool XD

She would get counter picked so hard in Ranked though... Anyone with a silence or stun especially an on-click one that you don't have to aim would shut down Kat so hard.

Also is Ahri considered OP now? Someone must have not given me the memo as suddenly everyone is going on about how she's OP as fuck... Even though there have been no changes to her since the one a while back that apparently stopped people being able to build her tanky while still doing badass damage.

I don't believe in tanky casters anymore, dropped RoA for everyone single one of my AP casters except Morgana since she needs to be right in there to scare the shit out of the entire other team by placing her ult on everyone at once.

Double points if you Hourglass through their counterattacks. Permabanned for a reason!
