I'm still not sure why he is never ever picked or banned in Ranked... There must be some flaw in his character design that I can't see. He could just solotop right? He has a heal so he has at least some sustain in a solo lane. I don't know...
He's what's known as a snowballer champion. Basically means if he gets a few kills early on or is allowed to farm then he can quickly become insanely powerful due his crit-based damage and the not-dying ultimate. The problem with him is it's relatively easy to shut him down with a well placed snare or stun, especially if you can face him when he tries to use his own snare. His heal is pitiful and requires rage, which means he has to hit minions to generate it. When he's doing that, he's open to get poked by the enemy champion which his heal won't outdo.

And Tryndamere who isn't fed kills early on, or worse, gets ganked and misses out on minion kills and lane exp, becomes utterly useless for the rest of the game.
Ah I see, like an AD version of Katarina. Kat gets fed and all your "oh just stun her and she's useless" logic goes out the window as she melts your face before you can touch her. I love Katarina. She's so fucking cool XD

She would get counter picked so hard in Ranked though... Anyone with a silence or stun especially an on-click one that you don't have to aim would shut down Kat so hard.

Also is Ahri considered OP now? Someone must have not given me the memo as suddenly everyone is going on about how she's OP as fuck... Even though there have been no changes to her since the one a while back that apparently stopped people being able to build her tanky while still doing badass damage.

I don't believe in tanky casters anymore, dropped RoA for everyone single one of my AP casters except Morgana since she needs to be right in there to scare the shit out of the entire other team by placing her ult on everyone at once.

Double points if you Hourglass through their counterattacks. Permabanned for a reason!
Guys, this is completely off-topic.

On topic, I've actually been incredibly lucky as regards disconnected controllers. I have a play&charge kit for my xbox controller so if it runs out of juice I can grab the charger and ram it into the top if I'm in a hurry.

That said, there was one time I was playing Gears of War 1, it was me against the entire enemy team in a clutch situation, they had all the power weapons and I found myself in my spawn on Mansion. The first one went down to a point-blank shotgun around a corner, the second (with the Longshot) gave me some trouble but I killed him pretty quickly. The third one with the boomshot was just a pain in the ass, I ended up running halfway across the map wallbouncing all the way to avoid his second shot. In the end he ran out of ammo and I won a shotgun battle with him. Finally I found the fourth one lurking outside and got into a hectic shotgun battle with him, finally closed to point blank range, LAST SHELL IN THE SHOTGUN...! Please reconnect controller.

Blam, my head explodes and I don't touch Gears for a good three weeks.

The worst time it ever happened to me is when it technically didn't happen.

I speak, of course, of Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube.

Allow me to elaborate:

I've never had that happen to me. Like...ever. My PS3 has that notification and I always leave the USB charger plugged in so I can attach it in two seconds. And no other controller has done that either.

As I am mostly a PC gamer, my mouse don't disconnect (or at least, the one I have now, don't).
However, when I do play on a console, I tend to play for long stretches of time, and I tend to use wireless controllers. So the controller I use will inevitably disconnect on me.

My old computer mouse, a logitech G5, died on me during the hayday of MW2. It wouldn't just give up and die, but it would live, disconnect itself, connect itself and live for a little more. The G5's final death was long and painful, but closer and closer to it's final death, these smaller deaths became more and more frequent. So when I was in the middle of a MW2 match, it would often die on me when I needed it to live.
Rest in peace G5, you were a soldier 'till the end.

Well most games just pause themselves these days but I do have a problem where cat hair keeps getting stuck right in the laser of my mouse. Often I've been in last second life and death struggles in TF2 where my mouse will just suddenly cause me to start spinning around and looking up or down at impossible speeds.
