This console generation has ended and STILL I haven't been able to complete the tower of lost souls in Soul Calibur IV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had that game for years and have returned to it on quite a few locations but I'm stuck on the level where you have to beat 4 Raphael clones and Amy all of them with crazy high health and damage with only one character! I CANT DO IT!

*submits geek card shamefully and reluctantly

I don't claim to be a geek or nerd or dink or dorkus malorkus or whatever, they're not really my kind of people; but I came here to say that as a vidyagaems enthusiast I have - 200% interest in VR.

I've never played a Mario, Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid or Donkey Kong game. I've also never touched an N64. Apparently they're the gamer must-haves.

Oh, and I liked Skyrim over Oblivion and Morrowind.

I've also never watched Doctor Who or Game of Thrones.

I don't like comic books at all.

And I prefer watching anime in English dub.

i dont know if are from outside the UK but in the UK a lot of these bands are actually really popular and wouldnt be considered geeky. Bands like blur and oasis are huge over here. We love the Gallagher brothrrs and their antics. The clash and the sex pistols are well known and respected hell we even have a music quiz show called "nevermind the buzzcocks" which is really popular.

Youve probably heard of 'the specials' they are really good ska band. Also 'stiff little fingers' are another good punk band

I must say its nice to see people that still have a decent taste in music. Even the pop you mentioned 'duran duran' is good

I never got through more than half of the Lord of the Rings books, although this has been mentioned a lot.
I liked the Amazing Spider-Man, and Man Of Steel. I don't really understand the hate. The same goes for the prequels of Star Wars, I actually enjoy them to an extent.
I never really got into Pokemon. I never played any of them as a kid, played them on an emulator and just... didn't find them appealing.
I guess my most heinous crime is owning every Call of Duty since the original Modern Warfare. I don't play them, they just sort of... ended up in my collection.

Big Bang Theory ew.

So much ew.

I did build my own PC at 16, so that qualifies me as some sort of uber-nerd in the BBT universe.

*still ew @ BBT*
Yeah, the point being more what qualifies as a geek. The quiz was more like "LOL COMIX? NERD! LOL VIDEO GAEMS? NERD!"

PC building took up like five questions. That would have got you some serious geek points.

You should REALLY look into the Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong Country.

Outside Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Banjo-Kazooie, the N64 is kinda overrated. It's not nearly as good as the SNES.

Skyrim is the best of The Elder Scrolls. Fallout 3 is better than Skyrim, albeit not remotely as pretty (The Elder Scrolls games are just boring and in SERIOUS need of a gameplay overhaul. Hell, the Fallout games need a major overhaul too...).

Doctor Who is fucking weird. Not bad, decent. EPICALLY overhyped.

Game Of Thrones is FANTASTIC. Easily one of the best shows on TV right now. Top 3, maybe. You should look into that too.

I like all manner of things FROM comicbooks, just not comicbooks themselves. They're kind of a terrible medium. Like...really bad format. Terrible storytelling medium. Also, waaaay too expensive and time-consuming to try and keep up with in a meaningful way via the comics themselves.

I'll take an English dub any day. Fuck subtitles, and I'm sure as hell not learning Japanese just to watch cartoons.
