If he is a member of the Templars, maybe Ezio doesn't know about the rivalry as everything may have become more underground as time went on a few hundred yaers. Leaving more secrets and meaning da Vinci and Ezio may or may not know baout eachothers alliances. Hmmmm, possible?

I hope that isn't the case because that sounds exactly like Assassin's creed 1.

You're right, it kinda happened twice, how you didn't know the assisstant (I forget her name, was it Lucy?) was an assassin and Abstergo, who were the templar, didn't know she was one and you were helping out, albeit against your will, Abstergo who you didn't know were Templars. Also how you didn't know Almualim was originally a founder of the piece of Eden and he stabs you in the back. But in both those scenarios at least one party knows which side the other party is aligned to, Almualim knew where Altair stood, and Assisstant girl knew who Abstergo was without them knowing she was an Assassin. Maybe if da Vinci and Ezio had no idea who eachother were it would be a little different, but I doubt that da Vinci wouldn't know what was going down.

It is also possible that Ezio won't know that he is an assassin until later in his Vendetta though and there may be something there.

I heard that Enzio isn't an actual assassin like Altair, he is just really well trained, perhaps I am wrong though.

He's probably just a spy helping him. My guess is that Ezio father is a Palestinian (since Altiar is one and Ezio is related to him), and his mother is somehow related to the templars, which is the reason why they killed his father. As for why Leonardo is helping him, its probably because he either wants to go higher up in the templars by killing off the others or is trying to protect his work from the templars by killing them off. But its just a guess.

What I want to know is how they went from a cool, bad ass name like Altair...to a gay name like Ezio.

To answer that question all i need to say is this "dual hidden blades". Your name could be Duke Steel yet you won't be as badass as dual hidden blades.
