SO, over the past few weeks, the same thing has been playing on in my head over and over again...Should I get Ear Tunnels?

Now on one hand, I know that I might regret it in the future yadda yadda, but I was just wondering what the masses thought of them, which is when you guys come into play.

Do they repulse you? Don't you give a damn? Do you find them attractive?

Let me know.
Just bear in mind, this is not me asking you whether I should get them or not, it's what you guys think of them.

DISCUSS AWAAAAAAAAY!

Ps. For those that don;t know what im talking abouttt...

I don't see the point in them, and they're not really attractive nor a turn-off for me.

Wouldn't want to get them myself, anyway. :p I just want more ear piercings.

eeh, i've seen too many get ripped and people regret, the ones that donn't really distort the shape of the ear too much are alrighty

but hey, whatever floats your boat

EDIT: Alright Mate?! ;) (thought I'd join in wiht the British welcomes.)

Dependes on the size, small is fine but seriously don't go the really big ones! They just freak me out and remember, when you're 60 how are you going to feel about these permanent holes in your ears?

Plus make sure you do it at a decent shop, I saw a guy a while whose ears had gotten infected and he had to take the plugs out and it was... disgusting. Really big holes man.

If it was small I probably wouldn't mind too much but the fact that it's permanently streching your ear effectively puts me off, I'd rather just get more studs or rings in my ear. Either that or a scaffolding bar.

Do what you like. If you want, get. And don't listen to people who say 'err you'll look stoopid with them when you're 60". Just say, yeah so what, so will you. Only difference is we will be HARDCORE old folk! \m/

I have tunnels in (12mm) and they can be fun.

let me clarify.....

the sheer amount of variety in materials and designs is mind boggling, and people curiously asking how you do it can always help you make new friends :)

That said however.......

it is not a completely painless hobby so be warned it will sting a bit

Any more information needed just Pm Me :)

I would say go for it if you like them. I have 4 gauge (5mm diameter) plugs in mine (when I'm not wearing large steel earrings). They're not the biggest, but there's a lot of jewelry available for them. My girlfriend also has 4 gauge rings in her ears, I think they're dead sexy, but then I'm into piercings and ink, so it's relative.

I think small ones are attractive. Up to say, 1 or 2 gauge. I like 00 gauge the best though.

I used to have my ears stretched to ~8mm. Never had a problem with them when I took my jewelry (sp?) out, in fact I went as far as weariong clear spacers when I wasn't at work.

I personally found the experience painful, but rewarding. It's a great conversation stater. My only regret is not keeping them through over-zealous stretching with PTFE tape.

BTW, I'm a Brit, so I guess what is and isn't acceptable in your workplace might differ from ours.

I feel compelled to give a stereotypical Scottish response sooooo

A'ight big maaaaaaaan

OP: I think the small one look alright but the big ones, hell no. I think they look a bit stupid and I'd be really paranoid that I'd snag it on something or it rip. Plus in my experience the majority of people who are attracted to people with them either have them themselves or want them.

I think small ones are fine. But I know a guys whose lobes are so stretched out a child can put their hand through them. To me that looks disgusting. Bearing in mind I hang out with some people with literally the stupidest tattoos and piercings you've ever seen so my patience has worn out. I mean I know guys that have their arms and legs covered and have a lot of cool piercings [http://piercingsforgirls.x10.bz] but I also know a guy who got "Would you risk it for a biscuit" tattooed on the back of his hand.
Well at least he doesn;t have microdermal piercings in his belly.
