I am of course talking about school/high school crazes and or fads. You know, that one thing that got REALLY POPULAR that one time, everyone had to have one, then it went out of fasion as quick.

When i was at school, the first was good old Pokemon, not the game but the trading cards and trading was MASSIVE. Then came the good old fasioned Yoyo, then the japanese Tamagotchi, and finally Duffel Coats. I had to have them all!

So what 'must haves' do you remember, what was it and did you manage to get one before the craze ended.

Pokémon cards, yoyos, skateboarding, pogs, dracco heads and tamagotchis. That's all I can remember from elementary school. High school wasn't the same in that regard.

Pokemon was wild, of course. But I remember Ribbon Dancers, those little wind up fairy things that you would pull the string and they'd spin their arms around to fly, Skip-It, Bop-It, Giga Pets, and the dreaded Furby.

Ah those were the good times in primary school. I clearly remembers the craze like Pogs, Tamagotchi, Slammer, yoyo and those Starwars tarzos and these monsters wrestler plastic figures (I had this sharkman).

I actually was into pogs back in the day. I collected poison brand pogs mostly and still have a brass holigraphic slammer.

Just last year there was this whole Silly Bandz thing going on at my school. I remember one of my friends would buy packs of them (which are like $1 each) and sell individual ones to the kids for like $2 each.

At my school, we never really got to play with outside toys, since we were pretty much supervised the entire time, and it was against the rules.

Now, in middle school, everyone is too "mature" for that sort of thing.

About pokemon cards. Did anyone at your school even play the game? Because at my school no one knew how.

Pokemon cards, yoyo's, Pogs, fingerboards (y'know those mini skateboards for your fingers) and tamagotchi's were the things that every kid had to have when I went to school. Out of all of those crazes, the only one that I was heavily into was the Pokemon cards.

Same here. At my school people just traded and/or showed off how many shiny cards they had in their deck.

Oh yeah, those were pretty stupid. Did anyone actually use them for rubber bands? No.
Did anyone ever put dozens on their arms at once and risk cutting off the circulation? Hell yeah!
