Classes just started for my 2nd semester of my jr year and I have to take all these usless classes. Just curious for those of you who are in school or who have been in school in the past: what are some of the most usless or most pointless classes that you have taken and what are some of the most usless things that you learned. The two do not have to be related.

U.S. History. But that may only be because it was required curriculum from 3rd to 12th grade and college gen ed.

Most of my higher level math has been useless. Also, government since they do whatever the hell they want anyways and then just lie to the people.

I'm wondering if you really understand the point of classes in the first place, if you declare them all pointless.

You won't remember what you learn in any specific class for long after you are finished with the subject, what you are doing is forming neurological pathways in your brain. You should be focused on learning to learn, rather than declaring everything pointless.

No one cares, anyway, if you got poor marks because you found the classes pointless, or if you didn't put in the effort for victory. Don't join the ranks of the anti-intellectual simply because you are too cool for school.

PE

I hate sports, I hate sports players, and I'm physically weak.
For me (and probably 99.999999% of my classmates who actually think they have futures in sports careers) absolutely useless.

RE... i have nothing against other religions, but i really don't care about learning about them... Especially talking about God. I have my own beliefs and oppinions, others have theirs.

Ughh, Geography! I dropped that shit as soon as I could. Nothing is more boring to me than the study of rocks, not to mention more pointless.

Gym class.

Although they say "it builds teamwork and physical fitness", all it really does is make me too
tired to do good in any of the classes that I WANT to do

I'm not learning anything I find particularly useful at the moment.

As I said in a similar post a couple of days ago:
I was at school today, had two tests and started on a big project.

I learned nothing there.

I'm now at home, and I've learned that I can eat six loaves of bread with fried eggs and be perfectly full.
Sums up school quite nicely right now.

actually come to think of it the last time i used anything i learned in the last 4 years i went to school was when i was tutoring a person to pass his exams for his first year which he probally wont even use

everything usefuli used was in my software course at MIT which im halfway through and even that has its fair share of useless crap

Oh man I had to take a World Regional Geography class last sememster. ugh it sucked something horrible. The final exam was a blank map of the world and off the top of your head you had to name all the countries of the world in the proper place. No word bank.

Woodshop. It's not that useful for most people in the real world. Unless you want to go buy a log grinder and make a rocket sculpture or something to that effect.
