Firstly, good news for my friends in North America, according to several sources the PokeBank has launched in the U.S. eShop! Download the app quick and try it out, us Europeans got to put it through it's paces yesterday and it's been great so far. Now, on to the giveaway.

In celebration of the Pokébank's release, I'm offering a free Pokémon for every Escapist who requests one. I have a living Pokédex on X, which means I can provide any breedable species of Pokémon. Got one starter you still need? Never been able get hold of a Feebas or Unown? Here's your chance to snag one non-legendary Pokémon of your choice, full rules below:

[li]On offer is the first or baby stage of any non-legendary evolution line from generations I to VI or Phione, one Pokémon per user.[/li]
[li]You may request a nickname if you want one, and an Adamant, Modest or neutral nature, since I have the Dittos to breed those natures. You may also request the Pokérus to be attached to your gift, if you haven't got it yet.[/li]
[li]Due to time constraints, I'm afraid I cannot provide specific genders, egg moves, perfect IVs or other variants in this giveaway.[/li]


How to claim? In two easy steps:

[li]Upload any Bunnelby onto the GTS and request your Pokémon of choice, include the comment 'The Escapist' when you upload your Bunnelby for easy identification.[/li]

[li]Post on this thread the Pokémon you want AND your Trainer Name. This is very important so I know who has requested what.[/li]

That's it! Then, when I've bred, caught or located your Pokémon, I'll trade it for your Bunnelby over the GTS and let you know by quote or PM that it's ready.

So for discussion value, what are your thoughts on Pokémon Bank? Does the one box per Pokétransport upload limit annoy you or you can you live with it? What are your thoughts on the lack of moving Pokémon by touchscreen. Do you really need the extra space? Once the free trial expires, will the app be worth the cost per year?

Thanks for the offer, though I am fine personally. I was thinking of making a Post Pokemon Bank Trading thread similar to the one we had right after X and Y were released.

The bank is pretty cool, though I find the ability to only transfer one box at a time to be a little annoying. Everything else works really well, though it can be cumbersome to change cartridges every time you want to transfer something.

I also had gotten most of my favorites from the GTS and cloning so I wasn't too desperate to get Pokemon bank. I am happy it is out though.

While this is awesome, I personally only need certain legendaries (Shaymin & Manaphy) to complete my Pokedex. Although I wish you well in your endeavour to supply the internet with the Pokemans!

OT: I'm sure Pokemon Bank will be fantastic once Nintendo finish messing about with my 3DS and send it back to me.

That's extremely generous of you, JoJo. Seriously makes me speechless because the amount of work you're willing to put in is... quite a bit if this thread gets busy. I thank you for having the kindness to help people get the starting Pokemon they want.

OT: I am unsure what Pokemon Bank even does, but I do know what a Bunnelby is. Although I am not currently ready at this moment, I could be within a day or so but have college coming up... so after, I can see about working things out.

I also can easily obtain a Ralts in Route 4, and planned on just working with that Pokemon as my #1 fighter. Female of course.

HOWEVER, because you're willing to grant any non-legendary Pokemon, this opens new doors to my Pokemon experience. I'll really have to think carefully about it, but making a post so I can easily come back and post when I am ready. Again, thank you man... it's extremely generous of you actually and I'm not picky about the gender or anything of the sort. ^_^

Take as long as you need to decide, if you're just starting the game and intend to use the Pokemon I give you as you play through then you might want it in an Egg so it has your OT, otherwise it won't obey you if it gets to a high level before you have enough badges. But anyhow, we can arrange that when you're ready, if that works best

This is awesome, i'd love a Togepi if you've got one. I'd offer up something in my friend safari in return but it is literally full of the most common steel types imaginable. My trainer name is Andy.

OT: I really like the idea of Pokemon Bank but I can't imagine being something you need very often, but that's what's so great about the cost. You pay your five dollars and then you have it for an entire month which seems like more than enough time to get all your pokemon moved over and what not.

Though i'll mostly be using it to store my pokemon when I start a new game, no more convincing friends to hold on to them for me.

Yep you do, here's how. Start to deposit your Bunnelby through the GTS, then there should be a list of Pokemon to ask for in return, along with gender/level etc. If you've seen a Togepi in your game, go to 'T' and find it under there. If you haven't, go to 'What Pokemon?' at the bottom of the list and type in Togepi's name manually. Then deposit the Bunnelby and you should be ready to go
