I'm still going with Firepig as my starter, though. Who's with me?
Pokemon Fire starters:

Charmander = Fire dragon = Awesome
Cyndaquil= Fire mouse = Still pretty awesome
Tourchic = Fire chick = Well it's final evolution is pretty cool
Chimchar = Fire monkey = Look out for flaming monkey s**t
Pokabu (US name I'm not sure of) = Fire pig = Does anyone else smell bacon.
:p

I think I'll go with the grass one even though the pig seems the only one happy to be ther. I just feel really sorry for the water thing.

With video chat that works only in the same room I guess you get to se their faces at two different angles if you beat them or if they beat you.
Infernape and Blaziken were waaaaaay cooler than Typhlosion. Fire/Fighting is also a much better type than Fire/Flying. :p
Aww c'mon now, Typhlosion was a badass, it's all angry and tough...D:

And I picked Chimchar, I regretted not picking the penguin (forgot it's name) later down the line :p

lolz at the 4 way close proximity video chat.

As excited as I am for the new features I wish it had a epic pokemon generation to compliment. I'm not one of those people who thinks the generations have gotten worst as they go (hell, the last generation was the only one for me where every started was awesome) but the pokemon we've seen so far...well they'd better evolve into something cool.

It doesn't help that half of them seem to be based on the same animals as previous pokemon. Seriously, what divides a crocodile pokemon (Totodile) from a desert crocodile pokemon?

I always go water, theres usually ALWAYS better fire pokemon later in the game(and a large assortment of water) but the grass starters are usually weak and the water pokemon is the median for ease and functionality.

I have a strange attraction to these, and even though I did beat one of them (or at least got through the end of the storyline), I just kind of pick at the rest of them. I'm sure Nintendo will get some money from me for one of these, even if it's just used.

In that linked video, wtf was up with the pokemon changing in appearance once their health dropped, and what appeared to be a person changing into a pokemon in the presence of another one?

It looks like the series may finally be trying to mature into more than just the handheld time waster its predecessors are. I loved that pokewalker idea with the last game and I plan to pick one up before I move down to the city for college this fall.(I intend to do alot of walking so I may as well make it interesting)

I usually go grass or water, and not so much for the Otter-thingy right now, so Smugleaf here.

Anywho, I suppose it could be useful if... you wanted to do something useless.
I'm sure it would have some use.

Oh, and that "Pass by" mode will possibly mix records when you pass.

But Charizard still beats them all. It's a flying, firebreathing dragon and it always looks pissed off. Simple but oh so delightfully effective.

Anyway, useless features aside I really am just looking for one teeny tiny added feature in Pokemon games:
[HEADING=2]Better goddamn AI!!![/HEADING]
It's plain pathetic, and not even in a funny way. Can my battles please be challenging for once?! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase?????

Also, I have the feeling that our tiny little firepig will be one badass blazing boar in his later evolutionary stages. Think this:

But on fire. Awesome or what?

Definitely going with Pig-lit as my starter. I hope to Mew that they make his fully evolved form's name Pignition.

But yeah... Silly face-chat thing.
That has to be it's name, dear god! and i hope the first form is called Baycon ^_^

OT: No need for it...at all, wtf is the point!

Fire pig allllll the way.
Got a sneak peak at his final evolution right here.

Aww, that's just sad to look at, I feel so bad for it now. At least we've solved the mystery meat in Brock's soup!
[sub]Question: Would it be immoral to own a chain of slaughterhouses in the pokemon universe?[/sub]

Wow, and I thought the "online" mode of Harvest Moon Island of Happiness was pointless. All that was was simple voice chat, which would be neat if you could still play the game while doing it or trade items. Instead, it was quite literally all you could do online. You were essentially just trading friend codes so you could make a phone call.

But this? Video chat that requires the four of you to be in close proximity? Just...why?

Remember kids, ALWAYS pick the fire Pokemon for your starter.

There are few things I enjoy more than reading one of our news posts and genuinely laughing out loud.

Also, I kind of like the water type, so nyaaaaah.

I really like Tsutaja(grass starter), so smug and cool like nothing could startle him.
Or Pokabu(fire starter) looks like it'll evovle into something super awsome.
And I actually think Mijumaru(water starter) is super ADORABLE! I know it's so derpy and retarded, but I actually like it. I think I'd pick Tsutaja though.

ANYWAYS: The chat is extremley pointless. And is it me, or doesn't it seem like everytime you turn around there's a new thing from Nintendo that is super retarded like this?
I don't know, but the 3DS is shaping up to be super cool with STAR FOX 64!/endretardtalk

You know, I think I might pick the water-type simply because it seems to be getting treated like the red-headed step child of the new starters.

Also, because I think it's cute in a way.

I think I going for the grass one myself. Only because I like that one the best.
I have a tendency to only picking starters based on what the starter looks like. Though sometimes I pick things and don't like the look of their evolutions, Torchic is my prime example of a starter I loved and the evolutions I didn't.

Though about local voice chat. Maybe so someone can say stuff while locked in a cupboard or is in the toilet or something.
Don't think too much about that, I certainly didn't.

It could work for like a Jigsaw puzzle

Johnathan, I would like to play a game.

You have been bullied your entire life, until one day you couldn't take it anymore and ended the life of one of your tormentors. While you may feel this killing is justified, it isn't. Wrongs are not righted by committing more wrongs.

On the other side of the wall is the man who you killed's life-long friend, and your life-long enemy. The chain which is around you goes through the wall behind you, and is tied around him. In front of you is the code to the lock on the chain, which is on the other side of the wall, to your right within hands reach is a button on the wall, and to your left is a Nintendo DS with Pokemon Black in it.

In four minutes your bully's instructional tape will finish, and he will contact you on the Nintendo DS. He will plead for the code to the lock, which you can clearly see. Giving him this will make him unlock the chain, and both of you will be free. Alternatively, pressing the button to your right will cause an axe to swing from the ceiling, past the wall behind you, killing your bully, and breaking the chain in the process.

The choice is entirely yours, but let me caution you that cold-blooded murder never leads to happy endings.

You have 7 minutes

I'm with you all the way. I've chosen the fire starter in every generation up to now so why change a winning team?

As a little something for those who care, there's a list of all the leaked pokemon here http://serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml

I'm getting pokemon White because i really want Zekrom first out of the legendary... and i really want Zorua just so i can evolve it.
