Pokemon: Do you use Legendaries against the Pokemon League?

If it fits the composition I'm aiming for then yes. I won't go out of my way to catch it, probably, but I certainly don't feel any less of a trainer for beating the game in whichever way I feel like.

I just played through FireRed again, and I only used Zapdos. It made me a little sad to ignore the other two birds, but I had no place for them in my team.
Most of the time I do use at least one of the legendaries, simply because I went through the trouble to get them, and dammit, I'm going to put them in fights!

On the first E4 run, I don't use legendaries.
After that I use them but only for grinding purposes( or revenge).

Sidenote, what is a decent Fairy type thats not Xerneas? None were blatantly obvious in my first playthrough...

As someone who thinks grinding is shitboring, I tend to use them if they fit my team and are powerful enough. There's usually at least one on my first playthrough of every game.

Gardevoir is pretty good but I use Mega Mawile. It's ability doubles it's Attack stat to huge levels. Teach it Swords Dance then Sucker Punch and you're unstoppable.
