there is some official confirmation: as Siliconera [http://www.siliconera.com/2009/05/12/nintendo-readying-pokmon-heart-gold-and-soul-silver-for-north-america/] noticed, the company filed patents for Heart Gold and Soul Silver on May 7th.

Shame, they could have seriously used a better name for the release.

Otherwise, everything on this thread is great news for me. Excellent even; I'm sure that I will be one happy customer when they release it in Australia.

Any news on whether they will be rehashing the old phone/poketech system in this version, or whether they will include the Red Gyarados or the railway system again?

Or do I have to wait and find out?
