Let's say you're thrown into the world of Pokemon, except for 2 glaring differences;
1) Pokemon do not appear very often at all - at the same rate as shinies do.
2) Your starter (or starters if you've been lucky) are all the shiny Pokemon you've ever been fortunate enough to find and catch.
How do you think you'd manage when it comes to battling, adventuring, etc?

@ You won't start with them at their current levels (whatever they may be) but at Lv 5 as starters always do.
@ Pokemon will start in the evolution stage you caught them in. So if you caught a shiny Pigeotto (and later evolved into a Pidgeot), you'll start with a Lv 5 Pigeotto.
@ Easily-obtained shinies don't count (eg. Red Gyrados from Lake of Rage - if you actually found a Red Gyrados in the wild, then that's allowed). Shinies that have been traded to you are allowed too.
@ If you've never caught a shiny before... then... I guess you can be an NPC who gives people stuff
The only one I ever succeeded in catching was a shiny Zubat - so I think I could get by ok I can always just Supersonic everything for an advantage and it can use Fly! But I'm in trouble when I need to Surf :S
