I would pay for it. Nintendo needs to stop making two or three sometimes 4 different versions of the same game and make one constantly updating Pokemon game with new Pokemon, regions and I had better be able to catch a wild charizard and squirtle. The level cap will need to be raised though.

No, but I think they should make a console game with all the regions and Pokémon, and if they think of more (which they inevitably will) they could release it as DLC.

I would run to Japan instantly with my erection waving in the wind asking to personally hold the man who made this game happen.

So yea, of course I would.

Edit: For every pokemon after second generation that isn't in the game, my erection will be one centimetre longer.

Oh heck yes. The ability to challange players on the fly. Trading pokemon. It would be the only turn based MMO and it would be awesome

FOr some reason, I'm halfway tempted to post this [http://www.myfacewhen.net/uploads/239-oh-look-its-this-thread-again.jpg] in response to this thread. Seriously...how many threads have there been regarding a Pokémon MMO?

Personally...I wouldn't mind paying for a Pokémon MMO. I think Nintendo should just accept the fact that an MMO is the only way this story can go now. Even with current gen media, there's only so many Pokémon you can cram onto a cartridge before game quality suffers...and with 649 Pokémon, it's gotta be reaching saturation level fairly quick. The only way for this to get any bigger is to move to bigger digs...either to the Wii U or take the risk at a PC title DESPITE the bomb that was Mario is Missing.

Definatly, I'm amazed it hasn't been made before, it would only work so long as it's not like...(I can't remember the name)the gamecube game where you had to free the hearts of the pokemon and you couldn't just catch them all. A MMO would be brilliant and to make more money they could sell hats and outfits for pokemon, only thing with an MMO imagine you and a friend both find a rare pokemon at the same time, who gets to catch it? Or would it be like WoW where it simply re spawns after awhile?

Also 2d, or 3D?

Nope.

People who know a thing or two about games, know that Pokémon is actually a Megaten rip-off (a very well marketed rip-off though, which has always been Nintendo's strength). As such, I feel obliged to inform you that there is already a game called Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE. Seeing how Pokémon took a surreal amount of "inspiration" from the SMT-series, I believe IMAGINE kind of plays as a Pokémon MMO would. But, of course, a little bit more mature.

On the other hand, it kind of baffles me that Nintendo hasn't produced such a project yet. Seems like a very big and obvious cash-cow that could be milked out to death. Maybe something they're saving for more troublesome times?

yes ... yes i would.
probably prefer a SP RPG that followed the shows campaign (cept season 14, that destroyed the show)but would still pay for a pokemmorpg.

No, I grew out of pokemon by the time I was 10. There are better TBC games out there

Pokémon coliseum and pokémon XD: Gale of darkness. Don't understand why there are only 2; they are far superior story and gameplay wise.

I would probably try it out, how would it work though? What would the "class system" be.

Would there be a class for each trainer type, like I could be a water trainer, grass trainer, or fire trainer, etc?

That would seem kinda dumb

Anyways I think it'd be fun, dungeon's could include "Team Rocket" caves, maybe special gyms or something, I'm not really sure but it could work
