Pokemon: ORAS/X&Y Wondertrade Stories

So I just got Omega Ruby the other day and I spent a good chunk of time messing with the wondertrade. I'm curious to hear some other peoples' wondertrade stories: cool pokemon you've gotten, times you've been nice and actually traded something decent, stuff like that.

Just yesterday I got a Froakie with Protean (Good for competitive) and a decent-IV Beldum (Metagross is a favorite of mine), and I'm still early game (3 badges).

I've gotten so many Pokemon I don't have in the game it is quite insane. Multiple starters[footnote]If you trade starters in wonder trade, I just want you to know you're awesome[/footnote], some I actually needed. If I didn't need them, I just stuffed 'em back in the trade tube. Other than that, I've gotten a few harder to find Pokemon. But I still haven't gotten my Diance yet... soon though.

Well I got a Froakie nicknamed "WayneBrady" from the Wondertrade which give me a good laugh! (Modest nature and with Protean ability.)

Other than that I suppose I got to thank the person who traded me a Noibat in Alpha Sapphire since I wanted a dragon type in my team but I don't have access one at the beginning of the game. Once I gotten Noibat, I decided to went with it (it does got good speed).

Oh when it come to wondertrade, I do sometime trade the Pokemon I got with an active Pokerus since one of the past Wondertrade I got had Pokerus too (to pass on the good benefits that was once pass onto me).

I've had the worst luck with wonder trade. The best thing I've ever gotten was a Skiddo with Pokerus. Which sounds cool and all, but I already had some Pokemon with Pokerus so it wasn't necessary.

On the flip side, I've given away so many amazing Pokemon. I've wonder traded an Arceus, Shiny Ho-oh, a few Reshirams(of which I had collected like 300 of back in the 5th gen) a few shiny Charmanders, a Mewtwo, and a bunch of starters when the 2nd-5th gen starters became available in 6th gen. Granted, I don't feel entitled to getting good Wonder Trade Pokemon, and I gladly gave away all the cool ones knowing I would not get good stuff in return.

Before I make myself sound too generous, all the amazing Pokemon were most likely cloned.

I trade my duplicate legendaries in wonder trade to make people's day, I also give them distracting nicknames before sending them off too.

I got a extra Zygarde once. Traded it to get Xerneas since i had Y version. Then I've got tons of pokerus and some pokemans with good IVs. Also got some with insults in the name, like a snorlax that was nicknamed your mom and a Muk that was called cum.

I've been relativity lucky with Wonder trade. I've sent out breeding extras for a while and got a Mewtwo and a Dialga named diarrhea out of it.

The biggest boon I've gotten from Wonder trade was a Japanese Chespin with 5 I.V.s and a 6 I.V. Swirlix. Thankfully, most of the Pokemon I like are in the Field Egg Group so I've used the Chespin to breed a shiny Chesnaught (Conkerstomp), A shiny Diggersby (Hugh), and and shiny male Lopunny (Bonnie). I plan to use the Swirlx to breed a shiny Audino when I get the motivation to start breeding again.

I was once breeding Larvitar's so that I could get myself a perfectly IV'd Tyranitar which I felt would have fit really well on my team. I put my first Larvitar into the day-care with a Ditto and started cycling, hoping to start by getting one with the correct Nature so that I could give it an Everstone and do the rest of the breeding process.
Anyway I was riding around and the first egg hatched, but the Larvitar I got had a crappy nature so I immediately wonder traded it.

What did I get you ask? A Larvitar from Japan. And not just any Larvitar, but one with an Adamant Nature and 31 IV's in Attack, Defense and HP.

Today that Tyranitar is one of the best Pokemon I've ever trained and I've watched him solo multiple teams that most likely belong to a young wide eyed 5 year old girl, crushing her dreams of becoming a Pokemon master and causing her to lose all interest in the franchise.

I haven't used it much but the few times I have I traded version exclusives or pokemon that evolve via trade. Not very exciting I know but hopefully they proved useful to someone. I can only remember a couple I received, a level 20 Japanese Aerodactyl and a level 1 Gabite (which may have had good stats/egg moves, I honestly can't remember). I love the idea of it though. Obviously it's pretty likely you'll receive crap but it's fun nonetheless.

I got a level 100 Yveltal through wonder trade, I'm pretty sure someone somewhere is kicking themselves over that one. I've almost done the same because I wasn't paying enough attention, thankfully I haven't so far. It's really useful for getting different starters and version exclusives although they rarely have the right natures.

I tend to use it to trade away spares from breeding and see if I get anything interesting. I once wondertraded four boxes of Eevees, it's hard to think of that many gag names though (there's only so many times you can call them #YoLOsWaG420).

I was able to randomly get Pokerus by myself in Y so I would infect a good amount of weak mon's and send them off into the world. I got quite a bit of decent stuff off wonder trade, I was able to get almost every starter from the other generations, and some rarer pokemon like Porygon, Dragonite, and some others which I forget right now.

I had a generally okay luck with Wonder Trade. A lot of useless Pokemon that I immediately trade back, but also a lot of the ones I needed for completing the pokedex and some cool stuff. Last lucky trades were a Gabite and a Dratini in OR, did not expect to get those.

Perhaps my worst was when I decided to make someone's day by wondertrading a Cryogonal, and in return I got a... Magikarp. I laughed really hard at that, but I don't mind. I had a box full of Cryogonals and I guess someone was happy, but really. A Magikarp.

Wonder Trade is great, but there's too much of the same useless Pokemon being constantly traded around. In Y, I got a Froakie more than 50 times. I get it, a starter, not everyone has them, but the rate of gen VI starters was huge in XY, so there was a lot of repeating all the time.

I haven't really gotten any decent pokemon from wondertrade... got some Japanese ones, though, which was cool. It's been ages since I used it either way. I mostly sent region-spesific Vivillon, since I knew that people collected those. I don't know how rare Tundra Vivillons are, but I hope at least one of them was appreciated somewhere.

I have gotten some nice stuff of wonder trade, mostly hidden abilities, but there is one thing I'll never forget. I did get a Perfect IVed, Ditto with the imposter ability, holding a helix fossil.

I always try to send pokemon that evolve upon trade (Haunter, Kadabra, Scyther, etc.) and luckily I got Groudon, shiny Lucario, Lugia, Ho Oh, and Yvetall all through Wonder Trade... of course that doesn't amount to the amount of Bidoof I've gotten but still it's pretty cool when you get shiny or legendary pokeymanz

I usually trade version exclusives of Pokemon Y (like Electrike, Liepard or Spritzee), level 1 starters (Fenekin or Bulbasaur) or shiny Pokemons with crappy colors (pink Quagsire). If I receive something that I already have, I trade it again. This way I eventually got a Charmander. But the best thing I received was a Super Size Gourgeist, just in time before the Halloween competition.

so yeah never figured out how to use the wonder trade system but I assume it works like the old online trade thing with pearl and that thing I traded a lvl 3 bird for a dam Blazikin I was so happy

(btw if anyone could tell me how to wonder trade id really appreciate it since I have y and OR)
