Pokemon pre-evolutions that look better than the evolved form.

So there's some Pokemon out there, where their basic stages look more aesthetically pleasing than their evolved states. Can you think of any?

Personally I think that Dewott looks better than Samurott. Why couldn't he just evolve into a cool giant otter thing, instead of a narhwal thing?

Quilavia is just about the coolest pokemon ever.
Sure Typlosion is a giant fire bear thing, but it just looks no where near as slick as Quilavia.

Electabuzz is awesome but Electivire looks like the Honey Monster from the Sugar Puffs adverts. It's too fuzzy.

Ivysaur and Wartortle look so much cooler when not evolved. I also have to go with all pokemon from generation one give evolutions in generation four.

Onix's horn looks way better than Steelix's stupid jaws.

Quilava is better than Typhlosion.
Electabuzz is way better than Electravire.
Magneton is cooler than Magnazone.
Omestar is hideous, but Omenyte is adorable.
All three Pokemon in Gastly's evolution line are equally awesome.

Can't think of any. Honestly, I think second stage evolutions are kinda lame. They're not cute like the 1st ones, but not badass like the final.

Seriosuly, why the hell does Sceptile tail is cover in spikes! I mean when you look at Grovyle. you assume the third form will be some kind of a leafy Charizard but no, it evole into a leftless biped lizard with blades on its lower atm and its tail is cover in spikes.

OT: The only one who I can think of is probably Tepig, I like all the pokemon but Tepig is definitly better than Emboar and miles better than Pignite.

I love Elekid. Electabuzz and electivire not so much. Same goes for scyther and scizor. I also prefer tyrogue to hitmontop.

I think Scyther looks better than Scizor, his claws look derpy.

I think Machoke looks better than Machamp. I like the four arms and stuff but the face looks weird.

Wow, I pretty much disagree with everything mentioned here. The only one in the OP I would even say is passable is Samurott. The rest look retarded.

I guess Magnezone looks worse than Magnemite and Magneton. A lot of the evolutions of older Pokemon they added in the last few generations have been awful. But most of the newer ones look terrible anyway, so that's not really fair.

The first one I can think of is I like grovyle more than sceptile.

Grovyle = my favourite starter pokemon.

Some other ones I think of is

Machoke > Machamp

Scyther > Scizor

Chansey > Blissey

Dusclops > Dusknoir
