I was watching the old Pokemon show and while watching Island of the Giant Pokemon I think the title was, I thought that that could be a good starting point for an RP. So:
Basically Everything you need to know is up there, ask questions, create sheets, or completely ignore this. Whatever suits your fancy.

Reservations to date:
1.Rastien
I don't expect to always be the greatest GM, but there will be two kinds of reservatioins:
1.A player drops out, either through personal reasons or their pokemon dies or is seriously injured, you can pop in and play for a while, the original posters will have seniority, so you will be asked to leave and your spot will be kept, your character put into storage, and you can come out again later. If you want, you can talk with any of the other Pokemon is storage with you, and you will have your own story lines as well, though it will be different then out in the world
2.There will be boss fights towards the end of many arcs, either by a gym,out in the wild, or just a standard trainer battle, and you can reserve a spot to play as one of them, though you will need to come up with a personality and six pokemon.
Lastly, people involved in play are not eligible for either of these choices unless your Pokemon is currently in storage and you still want to continue to play, you may opt to be a boss. You will however, be put on the bottom of the waiting list so that those that want to play but are not involved may play as a character in the story. If it comes to your name and you are out of storage you will be put second on the list and whoever is behind you in terms of turns will have their chance.

You guys are going to be pokemon, only five of you are going to be together, the sixth will be with your trainer/breeder, I haven't decided which has more story potential yet. There can only be one of you, so there are no duplicates, so first come,first serve on dibs. You each start out at Lvl. 10, and I will inform each of you when you level or evolve in PM's so you guys can imagine what your Pokemon feels as it evolves or gets more experience. If you don't want to write it out, just send me a PM back saying you don't and I'll write it for you.
Also, on character sheets, you can only choose to be one of the first three generations and you must be in the first stage of evolution.I'm sorry guys, but I really only know the first ones well, I never could figure out the DS so I didn't get one. Also, no legendary or extinct pokemon.

okemon name(Nickname in parenthesis, if you want one) I will encourage that you guys don't do an Ash team, though you will not be blacklisted for being Bulbasaur,Squirtle,Charmander, etc.
Gender:this is just for later, if you guys want an egg early, be prepared for both the pros and cons of it.
Type:This is just for clarification, and for everyone else so you don't have too much of overlap.

Personality Traits: pretty much what it says, are you playful,kind,mean,etc. doesn't have to be very detailed, as you guys can interact as it goes and you develop through those interactions however you want to
Moves: You guys each get four moves, I know that not all of you have four moves by 10, but we're overlooking that. You get two moves that are specific to your type(ie, as an electric type you get two electric moves, fire you get two fire moves),and two pulled from Normal. Abra are the only ones affected differently, your moves are set, you get Teleport(It can be used on more than just yourself, you are able to take one other pokemon plus one that is half your level) you get Scratch, and you get Mystery Power(there's a 70/30 chance you hurt people around you as well as what you're aiming at or do absolutely nothing at all, or you do exactly what you wanted to do maximized to the best possible extent. 70% you do nothing or hurt yourself and/or others, 30% chance you own every enemy you just encountered.) Later on you guys will be given the chance for TMs and HMs, you lose a slot forever to use that move, but I promise you it will be worth it moreso than it is in the GBA and DS games.
GHOSTS:You have Two ghost moves of your choosing, plus Poltergeist(you possess an object, must be inanimate, and control it within it's physical capabilities,ie, you can swing a chandelier,shake a tree's leaves off,but you can't possess a book and have it throw itself at something, or...I'm going blank but you get the idea)the second move you start with is Ethereal Form(You become completely invisible,immune to all damage and detection except by Psychic and other Ghosts, however, you can only stay this way a minute or two to begin with, you'll get stronger and last longer as you level)
Special: You each get one, only one, trait that helps out in certain situations, look up the pokemon wiki for what you can choose, this HAS to be available to your Pokemon.There will be percentile rolls and this special will up the odds of that action being successful by 50%. note that being under or over the amount doesn't mean that necessarily mean you fail, just the degree of success.[link]http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Wiki[/link], also, thanks to Diablo: Bulbapedia

Colors: Black Gas instead of purple, Red Iris, but he can turn his whole Eyes Red to scare people and Pokemon, like this:
Capture Details: Was Captured in the Pokemon Tower after he let his Cover down while scaring another Trainer and his Pokemon. Jonny got him from behind with a Ultra Ball.
Personality: Joker, but despite any cracks he might make at his Fellow 'Mon's, He does care for their well-being.
Moves:

Caught: Gavin was caught in the forest alone. Upon first seeing the trainer, it hid, but curiosity overtook it and it crept out for a better look at the trainer, Johnny. It was then quickly captured.
Personality: Like all Ralts, Gavin is timid and quiet. He's also quite solitary. Gavin is thoughtful and careful.
Moves: Confusion, Growl, Swift, Psybeam.
Special: Synchronize- Passes on status problems to foe.

Type: Psychic/Steel
Caught: Beldum was first captured by the trainer Steve in an old cave. Having no space for the pokemon in his party, and due to his dislike of storing pokemon in the PC system, Steve offered to give Beldum to Jonny, who gladly accepted and decided to look after it.
Personality: Beldum is a curious and energetic pokemon.
Moves: Take Down, Headbutt, Metal Claw and confusion
Special: Clear body - can not have it's stats lowered.
Gender: Male
Type: Psychic/Steel

Personality Traits: Skrag is competitive, and very territorial to Johnny. He is wary of other, new Pokemon, but when he gets past his scepticism he quickly makes friends. He will protect Johnny and the other pokemon in his team with his life.

Where and How you were caught: demry saw jonny and did the same thing he always does when he sees a new thing, throw himself straight at it. after a fight that followed demry was eventually caught by a great ball.
Personality Traits: demry loves finding new things and will engage those things as quickly as he can, this often leads to problems, though demry learns afterwards whether tackling the new found object will be a good or bad idea in the future.
Moves: aura beam, rain dance, slack off, body Slam
Special: ice body
