Blue, because that's the one I had as a kid. Blue was my favorite color. =P

Honestly, the two aren't different enough to really compare.

I had Blue so I'm going to go with that also as Phunky said himself the two aren't really that different. Unless you count the exclusive Pokemon. Example you could get a Vulpix in blue but not in red unless traded. Then again all Pokemon games have exclusives.

Red because it has a dragon on the cover.

Honestly what's cooler a turtle with guns on it's back or a dragon?

OK that might actually be a hard decision for some people, but for me, dragon wins every time.

Red, since it was my first. Good times, played it all the time until my asshole cousin fucked it up by catching Missingo, the prick.

My parents didn't really understand how the pokemon games worked and so bought me both red and blue. I played Red immediately and forgot I even had Blue for about 2 years. Why red? *sigh* it had an awesome dragon on the front of course.

They were pretty much identical, I personally owned Blue(seriously a dragon has nothing on a tortoise with canons on his back) so I'll go with that.

Back in the day you had to hunt down people with the opposite version and trade via link cable, so you had to completely obsessive to collect all the pokemon. I imagine trading pokemon is much easier today.

pokemon blue since out of the 2 it really is the best.and a cannon turtle beats a winged salamander any day.

I didnt think there was enough to seperate red, blue, and green to make them "different" games. So id say all three were great.

Red, but because of Growlithe.
What this guy said. Also for Mankey.

EDIT: This thread sort of reminds me: Isn't it time for a Pokemon Yellow Remake?(I know it'll be basically FireRed/LeafGreen, but still)

While blue is my favorite color of the two when it comes to colors, I had Pokemon Red because that was the one with the Dragon on it. Ironically, I ended up using a Bulbasaur more often than either Charmander or Squirtle. I still actually own my copy of Pokemon Red and recently grabbed Leaf Green. Also, red for Manky

Yellow. Got it the year it came out, I've loved it forever. I ended up getting Blue later by freak chance but I bonded with Yellow the most.

Red was my favorite, simply because it was my first.
This.

Although ultimately I preferred Yellow. Mainly because my Pikachu could use Surf.
